$5 for six tastings. Made for a fun 1/2 hour event for families with adult children. Enjoyed myself and walked out with two peach spumante for new yrs.
Stopped in and the winery doesn't look like much from the outside, but is nicely done and beautiful inside. Staff is very knowledgeable about the wine that is produced and sold. Have a wide variety of wines varying in dry to sweet to dessert to brandys... Samples of the wine is reasonable, 8 taste samples for $5.00--free to wine club members. Love the fact that the wine can be purchased and shipped to anywhere in the USA. They also have some of their wines sold in a few grocery venues in several states. Very, very impressed with st julians!
Went with my daughter and several friends for her bachelorette "day" party. There were 10 of us so they let us taste in the back room (where they store the wine barrels), and we had a blast. Tasted about 7 different wines (for $5, and got to keep the glass), and just hung out and had a good time. The staff is very nice there, not wine snobs at all. We all thought the wines were great too, and very reasonably priced.
My wife and I came here, not knowing what to expect. We like to drink wine, but don't know much about them. We liked some of St. Julian's wine and when we found out about this place, we decided to check it out. The people here are great. They had wonderful personalities and made you feel welcome. They know thier wines and love helping you pick out wines. They also have wine tasting, which is $5 for 6 samples. We enjoyed it so much, we ended up joining thier Wine Club, which allows us free wine tasting in the future. I guess that means we will be coming back.
While in the area for work, my co-worker and I made a quick trip to Frankenmuth so I could show him around, as I grew up there and he had never been there. After we crossed the wooden bridge and took in the scenery of the well groomed Main St., we decided to pop into St. Julian's winery. We arrived shortly after they opened and had the place, and the attention of the Assistant Manager, Mollie, all to ourself. She was such a pleasure, so friendly and very well educated on all the local businesses and attractions that we should visit during our day trip! So much has changed since I lived there and it was great to have an impromptu update from Mollie! We paid $5 and were able to sample the wines of our choice and got to keep the glass. She was well educated on all their selections and suggesting what to try based on our individual wine preferences. We each ended up buying two bottles, very affordable too. What a fun way to start out our day! It's definitely a "must do" for anyone in the Frankenmuth area who loves, or even just likes wine, Mollie and I'm sure the entire staff, will be able to find a wine that suits your taste! Thanks for the hospitality, I ll be sure to stop in again when I go back later this year with my husband!
For $5 you can sample 6 wines and keep the glass. Could not help but buy a bottle of May Wine as it is so tasty. The staff is pleasant and informative. A cute little shop for browsing and sampling.
We stopped by for a wine tasting...there was really really great selection of wines. Great service, and wines were so good, too bad we can bring much back to Canada. We enjoyed this winery way more that funships tasting & tours place....But someone might prefer them more. Stop By
We tried a selection of wines here and got a free glass to take home. The peach, Niagara, and Moscato were very nice. Really nice wines.
We were there about 1 in the afternoon, samplings available. You are given a "menu" of wines to pick 6 from. You get 6 samples for $5 and can take home the wine glass. Learned a lot about the wines we tried. Nice place, lots to pick from.
6 samples for 5 dollars and take home your glass, it doesn't get any better than that. Quaint room and wonderful staff. Within walking from most hotels in downtown Frankenmuth. Opportunity to purchase your favorites. Very reasonable.
