The staff was rude to start out with but got better through the evening. We didn't realize the steak house was closed on Monday night so we had to eat in the cafe'. Poor quality food.
We recently held the Navy Ombudsman Appreciation dinner at the Stockman's Steak House. They have a new Chef, and the food was awesome!!! Service was first rate and everything was wonderful. I would strongly recommend this restaurant! The only drawback is that they are only open Tuesday thru Saturday. (Closed Sunday and Monday).
Over the last year we've tried to reclaim the special feelings we hd for their steak house and their cafe. They've failed miserably every time we've gone there. They ned to get a new cook, the one they have now serves Eggs Benedict with yolks like rocks. We went to the Steak House for our anniversary 2 months ago and the prime rib was not up to par, the wine was oxidized. The service was perfect but the cook needs to find a greasy spoon for employment. I expect more from Casino food. If you want decent food at a reasonable price go to the Depot.
The casino is very smoky and hot. I don't know if it is hot because a lot of old people patronize the place or because they don't want people asking for too much comp alcohol, but it is unbearably hot in certain areas. They don't have as many newer slot machines as other casinos and we always seem to lose money when we play here. They have two restaurants that are kind of expensive for the quality of food served.
Stayed at the Holiday Inn next door and they gave us coupons for free drinks at their bar at stockmans! and just open the door and heavy! heavy smoke slams in your face!!!! Very old establishment. Been around over 20 plus years, since I came out hear as a contractor on the base for work. The food is terrible, and silverware was dirty when we had breakfast on 2 occasions!!! I noticed servers who were sick, coughing, and still picking up food orders and delivering them to customers and not even washing hands!!! Sorry, but it is run down. Will not go back in the future. ,
It's a popular place but the smoke in the adjoining casino really made the experience bad for me since I'm very sensitive to smoke. There's a lovely place to eat, Maine Street Cafe, on Maine Street near the Old High School. They're open for lunch and some evenings and it's non-smoking.
Tried to get something hot to eat but was told by the cafe they were only serving sandwiches and to come back after 5PM and go to the dining room. Dining room is very dark and old....they try to act like this is an upscale place with prices to match, which it is not. The entire place smelled of smoke. We were shown to a corner booth and part way through the meal two gentlemen were shown the booth beside ours.....along with one of the men was a very large dog. The dog was well behaved but it was quite unexpected. The food was only average at best and they ladled sauce on everything. We would have tried somewhere else but had a long day travelling. Suggest you take a pass and find another place.
This is the best restaurant in Fallon, Nevada and perhaps in the area around Fallon. The staff is professional and helpful.
This Casino has a nice restaurant available and it is walking distance to the Holiday Inn Select. Has a very good menu and the food there is freshly made when you order. Good place for a good meal at a reasonable cost.
Wife had a small steak dinner. She said it was good. I had a 1/2 chief salad. I'm glad I didn't have a full size one as that was plenty, and it was good. Price was reasonable. It's just a casino restaurant. Smoky if you don't like that.
