If you were looking for a super 8 with slot machines this is it . they have tons of slot machines and a few table games. The casinos are across the street from each other and there is absolutely nothing else around.
When we first got to the golden moon to get r room the women so rude..we got a room online at golden moon double beds smoking.. Well the rude women. Told us they didnt have r room there we would have to go to sliver star and stay and r room would be nonsmoking.. Because its first come first served.. So we had to carry r bags back to the car and drive across the street.. Then we get over to sliver star.. And the man says he dont understand because they had 3 empty double smoming rooms at golden moon.. So the man gives us king room suit with a pull out bed smoking.. Sliver star was really nice.. The waiters was a joke we had to buy all of r drinks cause u couldnt ever find them.. But they want every c me again at either place….
went with friends to play golf and stay at casino, after looking at past reviews was alittle worried but the rooms were casino rooms, not great but nothing bad. the service was good no problems, the poker room was run very efficiently, my only concern is the buffet, it was bad. it was a sunday night but the place was pretty busy but the buffet looked like it was 3 days old food and nothing great. we didn't try any other restaurants since we were only there 1 night for golf but any other restaurant had to be better.
This is a nice casino. The employees are nice and friendly. You can get free drinks and coffee if you are playing. We enjoyed walking around and watching all the different machines and people. We played and WON some money. We ate at the Chielf Pavillion (buffett) on a Saturday night. I was disappointed they did not have any fried shrimp only boiled. They have a variety of foods to chose from but a bit high on price.
Terrible customer service at this "resort"....Most employees act "put out" if you ask them something....
we experience this rudeness on every single visit to this resort, from the reservations dept (vip)to the floor staff.the rooms smell like smoke ,even the non smoking rooms, weve had charges on our credit card, even when we weren't there, had money taken out of our checking account twice, when we only got money one time, and the list can go on and on.this place needs new management,or to train the staff.something needs to change.it is by choice that the people choose to come there to stay and play,(machines are tight too)and my first choice wont be pearl river resort anytime soon.
I have visited this casino a few times in the past, and although I usually go home in the red, I attributed it to my natural bad luck. However, I took a spontaneous trip for the Columbus Day holiday and was at the casino between about 5am and 1pm. My friends and I weren't winning at first, so we decided to take a break and come back later. Between 11 am and 1pm, two friends and I spent $300 EACH and got nothing. I understand that people often lose at the casinos, but this was ridiculous. I feel taken advantage of and cheated since this happens every time I visit. Also, rude and unenthusiastic staff. Will not be returning.
Silver Star is in the midst of change. Its sister casino across the street just reopened after being closed for several years. The result is that many slots have been relocated to Golden Moon. Additionally, the high limit card room is not open on weeknights, having been relocated across the road. The feel of the casino is, however, as always. The always excellent (and cheap for the service) Philip M's is rarely crowded and has great steaks and a cool atmosphere. Slots seem kind of loose right now, maybe due to the overall re opening festivities since Super Bowl weekend. Blackjack: dealer hits soft 17 except in the high limit room. But, high limits are only $50 here. Comps are ok for card players, but VIP services are a bit rude at times. Overall, I recommend giving it a try for 21.
Bedroom carpet had a permanent stain. But the bedding was very clean. The room was very quiet.I do recommend this hotelvfor a one night stay.
machines very tight but they were putting in a lot of new machines.....no wins for us here so not much fun!!!!!
