I like to walk all the way out on this pier not only to stretch my legs, but to watch the fishermen catching their dinner fresh from the ocean. I always have my camera in hand to watch the eager pelicans diving down to steal a just-caught fish. It's really a funny scene. Bring your own rod set-up or rent one at the shop at the beginning of the pier.Walking out is inexpensive - at this writing $1.50 for seniors, free for soldiers or $6 for anglers. A bathroom is available at the start of the pier at no charge for those just wandering by for a look at the pier.
What a neat pier, love how the main building has this huge Flagler Beach on it. My family make a yearly summer trip to this location. Easy access to parking and the beach is less crowded then the more popular beaches south of here.
About once a week we go down to the pier just to walk out and enjoy the day, we talk to the locals, enjoy the sea breeze and have a very relaxed time. This is a great way to spend a few hours.
As you drive down A1A towards Flagler, you can't miss the beach & pier ! The building, where you enter the pier, has all of your needs taken care of for the fishermen. Bait, tackle, licenses, food & bathrooms are all here. There is a $1.50 admission fee to go out on the pier but it's well worth it.Even if you don't like to fish you can go out and sit in the ocean breeze, soak up some sun and enjoy the day. If you are more inclined to have something to eat or drink, the Funky Pelican is right there too. You can even leave a note on the giant outdoor chalkboards that make up the restaurants front wall. We enjoyed our time here and will definitely be stopping back when we're cruising A1A !
This is your average pier- Flagler Beach is a smaller town, so it's not as many tourists, which is nice. There are lots of locals fishing, and people just enjoying a walk out onto the pier. It's a nice breath of the ocean air for a visitor or local. Would recommend.
The Flagler Beach Pier is one of themany piers along the east coast but this one is very well maintained. We came right after sunrise on a saturday and right before sunset on a Sunday and the views were well worth the $1.50 admission.
Epicenter of Flagler Beach but no dogs allowed on pier so keep that in mind. In fact, no dogs are allowed on the beach between 10th streets North & South and dogs are not allowed in the park across the street from the pier ( so not a dog-friendly area ).$1.50 per admission.Maybe also grab a drink or quick bite at the Funky Pelican and enjoy the view.
You can just walk out on the pier or get a fishing license & pole for a reasonable price and fish as long as you like.
Great pier to go out on. Well worth 1.50 to go out on it. Beautiful view from end of it also the beaches are quite lovely also there is a beach for your pet which is great
we love to go fishing off the pier. it costs $6.00 for the fishing license and access to the pier. They sell food and bait and have bath rooms. On a sunny day it is a great place to relax and fish. we read a book and sun while the men fish. The town is fun to walk around and the fish and chips at Finns is the best.
