Didn't take the tour but this is the company that makes pretty much everyone in the areas candy. If you buy the "Bo Bo"'s as they call them they are significantly cheaper for the exact same thing.
This was the neatest tour and enjoyed the lady that gave the tour. It was very interesting and we liked all the antiques that was there. The candy is very good. Try the bourbon balls, very Goood!!!
Our tour guide knew the business and made the tour worth while. A bit pricy so be aware. The bourbon balls were excellent.
I enjoyed the tour although it was primarily due to who was giving it. The tour is short with not much to see. You do get a free sample, but I felt like it was sure expensive for a 15 minute tour.
The antique confection equipment was fun to see, but the candy was not being made during our visit, so we missed most of the visual.
The tour is very short and small, but also very inexpensive. I found it interesting that all of their chocolates are shipped from that one seemingly small operation. Our tour guide was nice and the kids enjoyed it. The tour itself could be missed, but we enjoyed learning the history and seeing the candy and chocolate making in action. Their bourbon balls are great!!!
Really overpriced. We didn't do the tour after reading other reviews. We didn't like the bourbon balls at all here that had a really white, sweet nougat filling. The one they gave us at the Buffalo Trace distillery was more of a maple filling and we liked it better. I'd still never buy them. Must be an acquired taste and a generous bunch of followers.
They gave out samples. Had a gift shop/candy shop as you went in. The tour was very interesting. It showed how the candy was made, the equipment, and old pictures of when it started,
Love the Rebecca Ruth chocolates but expect to pay $16-$20/lb. (as all good chocolate is pricey) The tour is $3 and it not worth it. One small room of antiques, even smaller room that is the kitchen. Back room has enrober and packaging. Tour guide is very knowledgeable.
Short but very informative tour. Was a Saturday so no production was going on. Free sample after tour. Fee for tour
