We went Frankston on the Christmas holiday. Its one of the best beaches I have seen. Because it preserves the natural beauty and almost hidden from the public. The sea is turquoise blue and sand are white and clean. The sea water is not very salty as the other beaches I have being to so its ideal to take a dip. The sea is shallow and does not have high waves. The waters are up to the hip level for more than 100 meters. However since there are no changing rooms being prepared is better if your planning to take a dip. Frankston beach is one of the best places to have a sunny spend the day on summer day. Dont forget to visit the Arthur's seat and the Enchanted Adventure garden within 1km from the beach.
Very good sandy beach which is seasonably safe so long as you use common sense. Good for families and others. Closely refreshments and also a Life Saving Club.
Have not been down to the Frankston pier for a long time and was surprised how busy it is at dusk. Everyone was taking in the beautiful sunset over Olivers hill. Other languished on the beach or meandered down the pier letting loose the heat of the day as the temperature dropped. If you are an overseas visitor you will feel at home as it was very multicultural.
Lots of lovely sand which is safe for both adults and kids alike. Near a variety of refreshment stops.
This is a fantastic family attraction for everyone, my first vist to this city and it is a beautiful smoke free city, is very clean and tidy. The Sand Castles are a must visit if you ever travel through Frankston, it has a huge playground for the kids and a very nice beach and fishing spot all within walking distance, ample parking with plenty to see and do. People are very friendly but you will need to check the opening times for this them park and you will also get to see the sculpture artists at work making and designing these wonderful castles.
A beautiful day and we settled first in the park? Preparing our BBQ lunch while the kids enjoyed their adventure on the playground. All ammenties were clean . I stayed to clean up while the family headed for the water, clean sand and shallow water were perfectly suited. A walk down the pier and a go at beach cricket we finished the day at Sophias positioned next to the pier, and enjoyed an ice cream and coffee was good. A perfect day made of memories but will visit again
Beach is nice enough as far as beaches go and we enjoyed watching the motor boats being launched and heading out to sea for a spot of fishing. Strolled over to take a look at the Sand Sculptures - was expecting more I guess as even the kids were disappointed - around a dozen large sculptures of Disney characters - already crumbling - and expensive entry fee to boot. Rally needed more sculptures to make it worth while.
The foreshore, beach and pier provide a great place to wander about and enjoy either sunset or sunrise. The pier has recently been refurbished and is popular with fishers chasing the garfish, bay trout and the odd snapper. There is a nicely grassed area, restaurants and plenty of foot wash taps, to save sand in the car, all adjacent to the beach
It is a fine example of where most of Frankston rates go to keep the beach clean and tidy the cleanest part of the beach is to the south of the pier as it is cleaned at least once a week, although fishing is not great off the pier a lot of people still try.the only food available is at the restaurant at the end so they haveno competition prices show the same way high
We live minutes away from Frankston beach and love it. It is clean, inviting and fun. We love the pier and the waterfront precinct and we love the hidden gems between Frankston and Mount Eliza. How lucky are we to have this area as our local.
