Great park in downtown Frederick! Drove all around it & downtown, then parked & walked around & played at the playground. We didn't stay long or experience much here but my auntie raves about this park & the music & festivities they have going on too. She lives in Frederick with her family & love this park too. Check it out!
What a great place to walk, sit and talk, have a picnic, play with children, and listen to the bells. It would be wonderful to live close by.
Spacious, scenic, peaceful - perfect for jogging or Tennis after work, lounging on a Sunday, even biking. It can get a bit soggy after some rain, could work on the drainage system but nice open grass for frisbee, football, whatever you like. The bell tower is the crown jewel of the park and makes for great sunset pictures. The creek and manmade lake add appeal and there is even an amphitheater/bandshell - nicely done Frederick.
A hidden gem in downtown Frederick. A true community park great for walking, biking, picnics, sports. An easy walk from Downtown attractions and restaurants.
This park has it all. A dog park, ponds, ducks, playing fields, an ampitheater and green park space for relaxing. When we visited in the summer, they had bathtub races in the pond! The park is surrounded by beautiful homes and is only a short walk to Market Street which runs through downtown Frederick.
This park is huge! There is a great walking/biking trail around it, several playgrounds, a baseball field, a bell tower, and lots of other fun things. This is a great place for a picnic.
Baker Park really has a little bit for everyone. We have walked our dog, stolled along the water, taken Prom and Senior photos there, attended a concert, enjoyed an afternoon of volleyball... the options are endless. When you finished enjoying the park - head downtown to one of the many amazing shops and restaurants Frederick offers.
We are so fortunate to have such a large and lovely park in the middle of town. Great for walking your pet, strolling with friends, biking and jogging! The pathways along Carroll Creek make your time spent in the park so tranquil and a chance to enjoy nature! The town pool, tennis courts. playgrounds, and other activities can be found along the way too! The park is put to good use all year round..whether its the 4th of July festivities or carrolling at the Christmas tree lighting! There's hardly a weekend, I'm not walking somewhere in the park with my dog and I'm so grateful for the green space!
Huge park! Nice, long walking path allows space for strollers, bikes or roller blades. My little guy likes the fountain and stream running beside as well as the great playgrounds. Theres also a bandstand where bands play throughout the summer. Tennis, basketball, picnic tables, BBQ, port-a-potties, swings, slides, climbing equipment, plus gorgeous gardens and weeping willows throughout. Not to mention the clock tower!
The city of Frederick took on a flood-inclined little creek, and turned it into the centerpiece of possibly the most beautiful city in the world. About a two mile walk from one end to the other. Watch the little kids playing soccer, pass the lake with the ducks. Enjoy some tennis, a dip in the pool. Stop and listen to the Sunday night summer concerts at the band shell. Continue on down and have dinner at one of the creekside restaurants. View the amazing trompe l'oiel paintings at the bridge area. Visit the art center on the lefthand, plus many little shops along the way as you get more into the city. It is basically perfection. And the best 4th of July celebration in all of Maryland.
