Everyone should stop in here when in Fredericksburg. The curators had lots of interesting stories. It was free, but they accept donations.
This to me is my most favorite time to be at the Vereins Kirche because the number of visitors local and from out of town. Can't explain it until you have a chance to drink and toast to all good things GERMAN!
Interesting museum about settlers in the area. Friendly desk staff. No charge for the visit. Located on main street
Great find for history buffs; not your typical tourist trap. The sculptures, dioramas and artifacts were in excellent condition.
I wanted to visit this building because of its past history and I didn't realize it was a small treasure of Fredericksburg history. The knowledgeable volunteer who greeted us at the desk also gave us some information about the pictures and artifacts in the museum while giving us some history on Fredericksburg's history. It was a mini museum with lots of great information for free. Be sure to visit the grounds out back where you'll see a statue of the founder of Fredericksburg solidifying the peace treaty with a Comanche leader and learn about this historic pact. I'm so glad we decided to visit this museum!
We had always planned to go into this interesting looking building, but we never made the time. We are so glad we did this trip. It has neat exhibits of early Fredericksburg and the pioneers here.
Museum was closed because of a climate control fair on the grounds. Didn't want to pay to get into an event we were not interested in. Should have been some way for us to get into the museum.
No charge to look thru this little museum of local history. Easy parking, nice park area on edge of town.
Well documented overview of the early history of Fredericksburg. In conjunction with the Pioneer Museum Complex visitors get an excellent representation of the early days of the Fredericksburg area and community.
You have to go to Verrins Kirche. We were met by a 94 year old historian. He was a hoot !! He was so informative and funny. We both decided he was definitely a highlight of our trip and we so glad we snuck in for a look around.
