Nice golf course, not overly challenging, but some very fun holes to play. In 2013 they're fighting green blight like a lot of courses in SC, so there are some bad spots on some of the greens. This course is above average for the Florence area, and well worth the money.
Good "local" course. Small but hospitable clubhouse. Greens in very good condition. 3 "nines" add variety and help with traffic flow...
Fun layout not overly difficult. Some of the greens were a bit rough, but overall good value for the money. The staff were very friendly. The club house is pretty basic with a limited food selection. We played on a Sunday morning and got through in 3:30 without rushing.
What nice people who work there. The staff will go out of their way to take care of you. Three nines to choose from. There are beautiful homes along the courses to look at.
The greens were very slow and difficult to get the ball to the hole. You really had to hit the ball hard which resulted in several three putts. It rained on us after we completed six holes and the management offered us eight dollars toward our next round. We insisted we wanted a rain check. The management said once you complete four holes you only get eight dollars if it rains. Bad policy.
We recently bought a coupon (GolfNow) to play the traces and drove specifically to Florence to play this course. We drove to the course 45 minutes prior to our tee-time and were told at the ProShop that they were no longer honoring GolfNow coupons and had not been for the past 3 weeks. We bought the coupon about 4 weeks ago and it specifically said it was good until April 30 (today is April 5).We were told that we could play if we gave them an additional amount money. The people at the desk were rude and totally unsympathetic to our plight. By the way GolfNow when called were very apologetic and will refund our money. Please boycott this course that refuses to honor its committments.
Enjoyed the layout and shot the lowest round to date!
Played here on our way to a Myrtle Beach golf vacation. Was surprised by how close to I-95 it was and how easy to find. Personnel were friendly and very helpful. The course was fun with challenge. It had sand, water and great fairways and greens. Well worth playing if you are in Columbia - Florence, SC area. Will return on next trip.
Not in as good of shape as in years past. Fungus seems to be the culprit. Over seeding in winter is weak, just enough to say the course appears green.
I was led to believe it was excellent, was very disappointed bunkers were not maintained, sgreens were rough. Has a lot of potential but maintanence needs improving. Not worthy of highest price golf course in Florence.
