I spend two days in the guest cabin available at the buffalo Rach and the experience was great. It is a peaceful cabin set in a perfect environment. It has got a living room, sauna, a double bed and an outdoor kitchen.Even if it had no electricity we had everything we need to spend two great days in Golden. The host Leo was really kind and took us to see the buffalos, which are actually great. We could walk freely around the ranch and enjoy a nice trail around the creek that goes throught the ranch.I would recommend this ranch to everyone and if you have the opportunity , stay in the cabin for a few days, you will really enjoy it!
We stayed here for 5 days in June wirh my lovely brother and sister in law. They booked it and what an amazing place. Right near Kicking Horse River for white water rafting and a great horse riding place 5 min drive away. The actual cottage we stayed in was simple perfect, 2 wood burners and spotlessly clean. Will ️️defo recommend to anyone who what's to feel the real Canada .
Thank you for visiting me and Chester jr!! and for your review too.
RMBR is a wonderful place with no shortage of adventure to be had on the Ranch or nearby. Staying on the cottage on the ranch you can wander the area and take in the breath taking scenery. Leo, the owner is incredibly knowledgable and willing to share his passion for his buffalo and for nature with all his visitors. Definitely reccommend staying there.
Thank you very much for visiting he buffalos and me. It was my pleasure to share our life here with you.
Thank you Yoram! we loved having you all and I hope you will come back and visit again, and see Chester jr get to be as big as his dad. Shalom!!!Leo
We met bison Chester junior and his herd while his humorous and sympathetic owner Leo explained a thousand interesting things. And... we learned how to make fire the Indian way. A fantastic afternoon impossible to ever forget!
Visit was in Sept 2012: Amazing experience with some extremely interesting insights into the Bison psyche and just how amazing they are. Leo is passionate about his Buffalo's well being and is a knowledgeable hands on operator. Leo also is a musician and do yourself a favour and ask for a listen to one of his CD's, also just finished a book I have ordered.
Leo is a really nice and talented and has an obvious love and care for these buffalos. He shares many nice stories about them and is entertaining also. The buffalo respond to him and come right up to the side where you can see them pretty close. You learn a lot of new things and the scenery is breath taking!! The money is well spent and there is no rush for you to leave. He also has a nice little cottage style house you can rent and stay at with the beautiful mountains all around. I would recommend choosing this place to go and check out for sure!
Our host Leo Downey is so very personable and accommodating when answering questions he's probably been asked a zillion times before. He treats his guest as though they were the only people in the whole world. The buffalo of course are so very amazing!
