First, there's a small, charming, uncluttered and inviting beach; then there's a nice street with plenty of FREE parking and across that street are rows of different restaurants offering the world of food. Stroll, walk or run -its a laid back treat. Most everyone says hello, so say hello back.
just moved here and took a stroll Saturday eve. lots of stores, restaurants, and well-people. Can't wait to come back during the day when most are open.
There an artsy vibe on Beach Blvd in Gulfport. We ate lunch in the courtyard of Mangia Gourmet, which offers live music as well as many gluten free and vegan dishes. We walked the few blocks from that restaurant down to the beach, passing several colorful shops and art galleries. Near the beach, we sat on a bench and overheard live music from one of the restaurants across the street. A refreshingly non-commercial neighborhood; it's nice to see art for sale rather than tacky souvenirs.
Clean and friendly. But not much length to the beach...tho the skimmers, godwits, and pelicans are fun to watch. A friendly and easy place to be. Playground seems popular with children.
And watch the sunset - stop a while and appreciate the show that nature provides. Watch the birds at the shoreline and the kids on the volleyball court. It is so nice to see so many people enjoying the simple things life has to offer.
Something for everyone from early morn till night. Did some shopping at the outside venders, sampled some drinks and food, listened to music and enjoyed watching the multitude of people out and about enjoying the 4th of July activities. My husband and I sat a spell on the pier - what a delightful way to spend the day. Tonight - the finale - fireworks Gulfport style !
Gulfports' Beach Boulevard is a must see/do when visiting the west/central part of FL. I've been told that it's still the was FL used to be before becoming so "touristy". Beach Boulevard is the main street in the downtown area of Gulfport. We were just there yesterday for their weekly Fresh Market (on Tuesdays from 9 a.m. to 2 or 3 p.m.) The market is less of a farmers market and more of an artisans market, but there are still several booths selling vegetables and other foods. Any day is a treat to visit this area because of the unique shops, great restaurants, and friendly residents!
The nearby pier and bay views. Good restaurants, pubs and interesting shops. Parking is available in the area. The sunsets are amazing!
Old Florida style house with many little shops or restaurant Worsted the visit even with young kids It is really a charming area
Quaint little town with many restaurants, antique shops. Also a beach on the bay with benches, bathrooms. Free parking. Parks and homes in area. A nice place to walk around and poke in little shops and restaurants.
