A visitor to Gulfport, I read about this massage therapist on Trip Advisor. I'm happy to report that I too rate this small massage place as 'excellent'. The massage was preceded by a brief alignment review by the masseuse, something that most places do not bother with. To me, this extra attention demonstrated the care and training of the staff. It was followed by an excellent massage that left me feeling both energized and relaxed.The facility is in the small arty town of Gulfport, well worth a visit if you are in the area. Loads of great restaurants!

I have been treating with Leta at the Art of Massage for almost a year now. Other massage therapists of varying skill levels have worked on me since my car accident, but this has been my best experience hands down. ;o) Leta is both professional and caring. Just as important, she is highly knowledgeable and deftly applies her skills when treating injuries. Paola is also wonderful. I always leave feeling much better. I recommend The Art of Massage to all my friends.

Leta is by far the most knowledgeable Masseuse I have ever known. I went to see her for lower back problems that I have had for years. After 20 min of "alignment review" she noticed I might have on leg longer than the other. The next week I had it measured by a Chiropractor experienced with leg length differences. Today, several months later, I have NO pain. My spine has straightened out and my life has completely changed. My digestion has improved, my sleep has improved, my concentration, and communication has improved. I am running with ease I never knew possible. 6 months ago I was considering back surgery, today I am considering what to do with my life that has been given back to me. Thank you Leta!

I recently had a knee replacement and had been having a hard time stretching my leg in physical therapy, i was in alot of pain, but i was very stiff and swollen, Leta has special training in massage therapy for post op and various other perticular issues, i've been four times so far and my leg is so much looser now, also my leg had been bad for so long I have to rearrange the way I walk, she took some extra time and showed me how to work on retraining my walk! Definitely worth the drive across town!

I had been suffering with hip pain for a few months and decided to try massage therapy as an alternative to a chiropractic physician. On my initial visit, Leta spent quite a bit of time discussing my pain, taking several measurements, and visually assessing my posture. To my surprise, she discovered numerous structural muscle imbalances that were causing my pain. Through months of structural massage therapy and flexibility exercises, I am finally pain free! My muscle imbalances and posture have also dramatically improved over time. Leta's expertise and knowledge have allowed me to continue running without pain. I highly recommend Leta and the Art of Massage...I can't thank her enough for all that she has done for me!

Suffering from lower back and hip pain over the past several years I have been exposed to several massage therapists but no one was ever able to really "fix" the issue. I was referred to The Art of Massage through a friend and its been the best referral I have ever gotten. Most therapists just rub your back when your back hurts, at The Art of Massage they try to find out why your back hurts. Not only is Leta and her team well trained therapists, they take the approach of not just creating a short term solution but a long term plan of making sure that your body is actually healing from the therapy. Highly knowledgeable and very personable. Every session starts with an assessment making sure every minute is spent working on improving your overall health. You will leave feeling wonderful every time.

On my initial visit, Leta spent a lot of time talking with me and visually looking at my imbalances, which I didn't even know I had! I was 4mm shorter in one leg, and while this may not sound like a lot, it was enough to produce significant lower back pain (and imbalances elsewhere). I had gone to 1 primary care physician, 1 physical therapist, 2 chiropractors, and a handful of massage therapist, and my back pain was only getting worse. Leta was the ONLY ONE who ever considered whether I had any structural imbalances that could be causing my pain. Once we figured that out, she was able to guide me on what to do to manage the imbalances. From her expertise with structural integration bodywork, she knew how to loosen up the years of tight muscles that were preventing me from becoming balanced again. I am happy to report that after a couple months of Leta's healing touch and valuable knowledge, I am feeling better than I have in a long time. I cannot recommend Leta enough!

I have been having massages from Lita for the past 6 months. I have nerve damage from a back surgery and had a lot of pain in my left foot and toe. I also had lower back pain. Lita has worked on alignment and flexablilty. I now wear shoes I couldn't wear before because of foot pain. I have not had as many problems with my lower back and my balance is so much better. I recommend the Art of Massage with total confidence.Mary Joyner

Leta and colleagues offer scientific knowledge-based analysis of problem areas, followed up by effective deep tissue work on problem areas, leading to excellent improvements in overall alignment and health. I've worked with her for four months and plan to continue as she has brought me much relief.
