The oldest church in Granada. Could not go inside as it was closed. Saw it while on a horse and carriage tour.
Unfortunaley there was no English Guide available. Many wonderful artifacts to view including paintings . Would have appreciated some more English signs. Minimal cost to enter y=the beautiful historic building. Great restaurant across from it Kathy waffles. Excellent food
We visited this museum as part of a tour booked through princess cruise lines. Our guide was excellent - on the history of Nicaragua and thoroughly versed in the history and culture of Nicaragua. Our tour guide spoke excellent English and made the tour well worth the time. Of all the tours we went on during this 15 day cruise - this tour guide was the best and could hardly contain the tips everyone was giving him.
This is a must see, the 'to scale' model of Granada is one of the coolest things ever, art work is wonderful, archeological exhibit is splendid. Well worth a visit for tourists and locals should be very proud of it also.
For museum lovers this was the most interesting museum I saw in Nicaragua. Leon also has some good museums. Diagonally to the left of the front door are two art galleries worth looking into.
Good place to get out of the heat of the day. Really vibrant contemporary art on di slap and petroglyph statues from Ometepe Island. Need 45 mins to get round it.
This was part of a guided tour for us. If we hadn't had the guide to explain things to us, this would have been a waste of time
Nice way to spend some time. The room of stone figures was nice and there is a good view out too. Also model of Granada was interesting
I did not find to too exciting, but there was some Nice sculptures where there was signs in both English and Spanish. There was a few examples of some strange playing of persons hanging from tall stolpes, which I did not understand at all. But the area is Nice, and one has a beautiful view of Granada catedral etc.
nice place to visit if it's too hot outside. Has many corridors and shaded areas to set and enjoy the courtyards. Not a lot of artifacts or explanation of the city's history, but it's a starting point.
