Thank you for taking the time to give a review as an adult admirer. The benches were created by local artists as a fundraising project. We agree that they turned out beautifully and love that you noticed them! Many people do not realize that the museum is also a fun and unique venue for corporate and private events. So thanks for pointing that out, too!
Thank you for visiting and we hope you'll consider a family membership that offers unlimited family visits. With such young children, you'll have years to enjoy it!
Wow, 5 hours! That might be a new record! We are so glad to hear that your family was entertained for hours while getting much needed exercise during these cold winter months. Sometimes it really pays off to be the nation's 7th largest children's museum!
Thank you so very much for this wonderful review. We are often asked what age is too young for the museum. So, knowing that your 2 year old twins had so much fun is a great testament to what the museum offers. Particularly if you are able to catch any of the early childhood education programs that are free with admission and run daily at 10am, 11am and 1pm. We hope you were able to get some pictures of them in the toddler exhibits such as Grandma Betty's Farm and the Toddler Lily pond. Yes, extra clothes is a great suggestion for this fun, water-based sensory exhibit!
Thank you for the great review and pointing out that there are lots of activities for toddlers. We hope you were able to make it to one of the daily early education programs that are included with admission. If not, please come back and try one at 10am, 11am or 1pm. Please note that as of Jan 1, 2015. Toddlers up to age 1 are free. That said, annual memberships are just $150 and offer unlimited visits for the entire family all year (along with other great perks!).
Thank you for your review. We appreciate your family, too!
A five star review from a museum connoisseur, who could ask for more? Thank you, we appreciate it and take pride in reviews like yours. Regarding price, we charge the industry standard of $9 per child and $10 for adults. This is actually lower than what it costs per visitor to operate a museum of this size. As a non-profit, we are fortunate to make up the difference with donations, grants, sponsorships, enrollment programs, field trips and membership sales. That said, we know family adventures can get expensive and offer an annual membership that includes unlimited visits. This is the best value and pays for itself in just 4-5 visits.
Thank you for the 5 star review! Our volunteers will be happy to hear the nice comments as customer service is a #1 priority here. We apologize for any inconveniences you experienced walking from the library parking deck. Parking in any downtown metropolis area can be tricky, so we feel fortunate to have a designated parking area provided by the city to serve the library and other properties on Heritage Green. We will look into the stairs/stroller situation!
We love these kind of reviews, and really love our members. So happy to hear you joined our family and will be visiting regularly. With a toddler, be sure to check out the daily programs for children age 5 and under. They are very popular! Before you know it, he'll be old enough for our Little Sprout half day camps.
Thank you for this wonderful review. Happy, repeat customers make us smile.
