First off let me say that there was still snow piled up around the parking lots. That being said, be prepared to have to circle the parking lot several times before you find spot. We opted for the general admission & added the $11 extra to do the few extra things, like the planetarium & giant screen movie. (it was just me & my husband) The planetarium was awesome & the giant screen was good too. We did stop at the cafe for a "snack" which ended up costing 18 bucks. A piece of pizza, a brat dog & chips, a bottle & fountain pop. You are a captive audience, so the prices are to be expected. Over all we spent a few hours there & had a good time :)
COSI has an ever changing exposure to nature and science that will leave you wanting to come back for more. This must see venue is always looking to update the attractions to keep it fresh and making you want to come back for more. With it's newly renovated planetarium, families won't get any closer to the stars than this space travel. Many of the programs and shows are designed for hands on experience so you can take away a piece of science. The exhibits and live shows are truly amazing.
take the boy at least 3 or 4 times a year. Always make it for the special engagements. i recommend it highly, one of the highlights of Columbus!!
COSI is a great museum for younger children. Not babies, but more like say ages 5 through 10 maybe. I have a teenager and he outgrew the museum years ago. It is quite pricey, in my opinion, but if you are visiting the city it may be worth the trip. I know attractions like this are just as pricey in other cities we have visited too.
My family and I visited COSI this past weekend and really enjoyed the experiments and fun way they presented the information. I will say that the cost to get in seemed excessive. Most of the center is geared towards young children so two parents plus two children equals almost $80. There were also premium exhibits that cost more on top of the entry fee. It was a fun time but I don't think I would go back anytime soon unless I had a coupon.
We had a good time at COSI. I have young kids and they had plenty to offer for them. Movie in the planetarium as well as an entire play center geared for 1st graders to toddlers. That part was really nice. The cafeteria was average at best, and over priced but that was expected. Also they had ame parking and charged for it, but discounted with admission. All in all it made for a nice morning but overall it is over priced.
This is a great place for learning and exploration for children, teens and adults! They have lots of fun exhibits and lots of hands on experiences. I would highly recommend this place for everyone! The only downside is the gift shop is very expensive, especially if you have multiple children.
Cosi is everything you expect in a kids museum. Keeps kids of all ages entertained, almost to the point you would need 2 days to see/do it all. And to make a good experience even better, our Cleveland Natural Hx Museum membership got us in for free! So it cost us $5 in parking, and lunch. No complaints here at all.
I thought this place was great if you and your children actually take the time to read some of the modules along with the hands on stuff. Very informative. Theatre was cool, we saw the dinosaur film. All in all it was a good trip! Lot's a ground to cover, nice gift shop!
I grew up in the Boston area, so used to go to the Boston Museum of Science often which is one of the best in the US - but COSI in my opinion is right up there with it. They have also just reopened their gorgeous new Planetarium and it is amazing. Just moved from Salt Lake City, and COSI is far better.
