Nationwide Arena is a great place for a concert. I have been to many concerts there -- and intend to go to many more (including Barry Manilow on March 1.) I work across the street from the arena so it is very very convenient. Also, it has been used for ice skating AND the rodeo, as well as the circus. It's amazing how much they can change the arena to accommodate all these events.
Attended a good rock and roll show. The arena is like most others, but I will say the sound quality was excellent. I know a lot of entertainers bring their own sound gear, so Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band did it right.
Great venue for the hockey we came for. Awesome atmosphere, nice selection of stadium food, walking distance from our hotel, close to the convention center, and lots of restaurants in the area.
We came here for the first NHL experience for my wife and kids and were impressed. The amenities were first-rate, the food was unexpectedly good, and the views of the hockey rink were very good from the upper level. I don't normally review hockey arenas, but this one was great.
Very good place for watching sports. Even the nosebleed seats offer a good view. Reasonable parking adds to accessibility. Food vendors are a little disappointing.
Spacious... friendly staff... awesome environment. Went with 25 friends and had a blast! Will return as soon as we can!!!
This is one of the, if not the nicest Arenas in the NHL. Workers are polite and knowledgeable. Not a bad seat in the arena. After the game you have a wide choice of nightlife after. Had a great time. Always.
Parking can be tricky - but it is a great place to go to hockey games. It is actually cheaper than many places to see live hockey.
I have been to numerous hockey games throughout the U.S. And Canada, but watching one in Nationwide Arena is as good as it gets. We chose a Blue Jackets game, for proximity and because we had not been there before, living in Lexington, Kentucky. The other closest team venue would have been in Nashville, Tenn. I chose Columbus, having been born and raised in Ohio. We were both very happy with the choice; tickets were purchased for the club section at a local Kroger's Ticketmaster. Seating and view were great with ample leg room and plenty of choices in the club area for food and drink. The HD digital scoreboard was a nice addition for us, not having such in our local Rupp Arena. The parking garages nearby provided ample parking for us both nights; we decided to stay over and attend the Barry Manilow concert. We had front row seats on the side, just above floor level for his concert, which was worth adding to our expedition. We did enjoy the more sizeable seats and food/drink selections in the club section more on Saturday Eve, however. We will return for sure in the future, and further explore Columbus beyond what we did this trip.
We went to see Barry Manilow at this venue. We parked in a garage across the street which provided very easy access to the entrance. Security and scanners were efficient and courteous. We found our seats without any issue. We thought it was weird that there was only one concession stand on our level open (that we saw). Which was Ok, but with that many people attending I expected it to look like something other than a deserted hallway! The acoustics were fine. The venue emptied quickly and we didn't have any issues crossing the street to get to the garage. There were traffic directors that assisted and provided a very smooth exit.
