the staff was very friendly and the wine was very tasty. It was an icy day with slick roads but the staff was still very attentivie.
After trying some of the other "wineries" around grapevine we were disappointed as they were Texas made but with imported grapes. Homestead uses grapes from there Texas vineyard and is a true Texan wine. Usually I am unable to drink commercially make red wines, but I didn't have a problem with any of these as they didn't rush the making which made a great well rounded wine.
Several wines. Very simple and very friendly. Had a wonderful time sampling the wine and love the "Homestead Red"
We ended up with a 7 hour layover at DWF and happened to end up at the Homestead winery Tasting room! Nice people and nice wines. We really liked the Zin and the Semi Muscat blend white. Unfortunately they don't ship and we can't carry it on. If around, stop by!
We stopped here on our Wine Tour...not what you would expect when you show up to do a wine tasting! Set up in an old house, it was nice...a little crammed in and disorganized, but the staff was very friendly. More of an eclectic vibe, but their wine was reasonably priced!
Very good Texas wines wines and the staff is fun in the little house as well as very knowledgeable.
This was a great find for us. We loved the flight of red wines and ended with the chocolate rose. We are wine enthusiasts and appreciated Judy's knowledge and advice. This is a must stop with great wine selection!!!
We have been to this winery twice, when visiting Grapevine. We will keep going back, whenever we travel to Grapevine. John is great and makes the wine tasting so much fun. It makes for a great afternoon of wine tasting!
Traveled to Dallas for pleasure and on our last day decided to head to Grapevine and explore. We stumbled across this winery as it was one of the few open on a Monday. So glad it was! The winery is located in a very casual, shabby chic old house. Very welcoming and not pretentious at all. Budget friendly tasting ($7 for 5 tastings) and the pours were quite generous. The owner happened to be our server and provided us with some great education and was happy to answer all of our questions. We had only hoped we were prepared for taking a bottle on the flight home with us!
This winery is located in an old house which makes it feel very cute and welcoming. The lady who conducted our tasting was very nice and knowledgeable, but there were no chairs to sit in and we felt rushed as she stood and watched us taste each wine. Wish it was a little more relaxed, but the wines were good and it was an enjoyable experience to add to our wine tasting checklist.
