Met with church dining out group. Excellent service, excellent atmosphere and excellent food. A fun evening.
It is hard to beat their specials. Golf course is very scenic and was in reasonable shape. We enjoy The Grill on the Green for their Happy Hour.
Visit this restaurant regularly. Generally enjoy the food and the view. Occasionally the chef missteps but quickly corrected. Don't order the rack of lamb, tiniest lamb chops I've seen anywhere.
Staff worked with our son-in-law to organize a fun and challenging "wedding golf invitational" for out of town guests and groomsmen.
Canoa Ranch is a decent layout; however, the course continues to go downhill. Green Valley used to be a wonderful golf destination vacation area. Not any more. The people that own this course now own three others in GV. In the last month, they've closed two and let them go to seed. This course isn't being watered properly and the greens are in terrible shape. An experienced golf course management company needs to come in and take over this property and the other three courses. So much potential but current owners are destroying wonderful properties. If you're planning to visit the area, head up the road to Tucson or Phoenix and play well maintained, fun courses. Don't bother with the Green Valley courses any more.
Feel sorry for the people who bought memberships under these RDM con artists. They've closed San Ignacio(like IRI did), they haven't fulfilled one made promise(like IRI), they make excuses and blame past ownership(like IRI)... Looks like RDM are the new IRI. They are quickly ruining golf in Green Valley.
Don't waste your money on this course. It is in terrible condition. Owner does not water much and the rumor is that he is behind in paying the water bill.
Tee times were limited, very slow play and allowed to have a group of 6 play which slowed everyone else down. I even called the clubhouse, they sent someone out to talk to the group and he still allowed them to all play together.
Our home faces the 9th green. We have seen this course in terrible condition in the past but the new leasing company is doing an amazing job of restoring the course to it's glory days. New sand in all the bunkers and corrections made to the bunker edges, as well as removing rocks and debris. The greens are looking better each day. Aeration of areas that had dried up and then adding LOTS of water have brought grass back to the perimeters of the fairways. Major changes on hole #11, with promises to also improve #12 have us very excited. The summer rates are very reasonable and you can even add lunch as part of the golf pkg. Hope you will come and play Canoa Ranch. Green Valley is a beautiful area, a hidden gem, in the deep south of AZ.
Maybe a little overpriced, especially on the coctails but thefood was well prepared and nicely served
