If you're sightseeing in Khabarovsk, Komsomolskya square is a good place to start. Right on the square you'll find a monument to the heros of Russian civil war, a magnificent Orthodox cathedral, and easy access to the banks of Amur river. Several museums, including the regional (nature) and art museums are just a short walk away. If you're not in a mood for museum, walk down the stairs to the river and take a 1 hour cruise on Amur. Otherwise stroll in opposite direction along Muravieva-Amurskogo street and enjoy many shops and restaurants along the way.
The Komsomolsk Square is a small square located at the end of the Muravyov-Amursky street. It is a very popular place, together with Lenin Square. In here you will find the Uspensky Cathedral, one of the two major cathedrals of Khabarovsk, and also a monument to the heroes of the war, basically a communist monument to Marx and Stalin. Besides, during summer it is typical to find horses to be rented for children. Not far you have some restaurants. Heading the river, some stairs will lead you to the Muravyov-Amursky Park and the river embankment. In summary, this square is a must when visiting Khabarovsk.
Beautiful square above the great river Amur. Placed in the historical heart of Khabarovsk. Square is like the crossroad of River and one of the main street of the city - street to the name of Count N. N. Muraviev-Amursky, the Governor of Eastern Siberia. You can visit one of the sight-seeing points over the Amur river or one of the museums located near the square.
Second square in the city, you can get here from Lenin square by the main street. There are soviet monument and orthodox temple - its very interesting. There is long and beautifull stair is going down to the Amur cliff
