I first visited this super charming Austrian town on a spring time years ago. My heart fell in love and promised to visit it again someday. The " someday " was 13 days ago on an autumn time. Like the first time, I was blown-away. The country roads leading to Hallstatt were like autumn calendar views. Breathtaking. Any artist hand will be itchy not to hold a canvas to paint this stunning views. Richard Clayderman's " Autumn Leaves " found rhythm in my heart. The crystal-clear lake gloriously sparkling to the great backdrop of the Dachstein mountains with golden leaves as if plastered on its massive rocks. Take your lazy time breathing the place. Many ways to explore the town : water ways , boat tour, skywalk up in the mountain or just a pleasant walk around the area. Feed the swans while promenading.. Austrian antique chalets along the mountain sides specially with summer plants still hanging added specialness. Colorful homes are delightful to see. Shops with Austrian crafts are very interesting. When in Salzburg area, grab your best chance to be in this most charming town of Austria. From there there, take a travel to Dachstein Salburgerland. You will not regret having visited them as I did. Accented with an autumn joy this time !
You have to visit this georgeous UNESCO site. It is very impressive although very crowdy except for winter. Enjoy walk in its streets with view of the lake
As expected, extremely picturesque, even on a drizzly December day. Christmas markets great, lots to sample, no tack. Fantastic gluhwein and knackwurst. Christmas carols by brass quartet completed the atmosphere,
This small town is situated on Lake "Hallstätter See" & is really beautiful and worth visit. Much can be seen in this town. Only a huge amount of noisy Chinese tourists disturb the peace in such a quiet surranding. (Why do they have to raise their voices?)This small town is on a World Heritage Site. In 2012 a full-scale replica of the entire town was built in China :(
It will not take you long to discover the whole town. It is tiny, but very special. The most fascinating view over the town and the lake is from Dachstein mountains. One of the best viewing platforms I have ever seen.If you chance to be in the area, spend some hours in the town and the rest of the day at Dachstein.
只看广场本身,也许没什么可看性.但是整个小镇加起来,就非常的可爱讨喜.广场离湖边近,但看不到湖,广场周边房子色彩缤纷,很像童话世界.建议可以去广场上的Gasthof Zauner吃Kaiserscharren,
Typical Austrian chalet architecture with each building enhancing .& complimenting the other. Great for browsing around the lovely shops & sampling the local delicacies in the surrounding cafes.. .
This beautiful markplatz is delightful. A typical Austrian village seton the lake. Lots of places to eat and set against the alpine background. Beautiful.
