My boyfriend and I went to Plagido's for their wine trail weekend event for Valentine's Day. The winery was very welcoming and staff was very friendly. In the larger back room they had nice tables set up for guests and a long tasting table with staff and all of the winery's available wines. For the event, you were able to taste as many of the wines as desired and the staff member doing our tasting was very knowledgeable. We very much enjoyed the reds at this winery. For the event, the winery provided delicious dips, crackers, cheese and pepperoni as well as wonderful sweets such as chocolate covered strawberries, chocolate dipped pretzels, cream puffs and more. It was a great event which we really enjoyed and we left with a great bottle of wine!
Pagido's winery is a great place with owners who have real class and understand how to present their product which is excellent. I would recommend anyone to this winery
Plagido's attracted us to a tasting mainly due to their featured wines. New building but limited parking. The interior was simple but roomy and bright. Friendly and conversant staff. Much to our surprise the winemaker was also there and took the time to engage with us personally. It greatly enhanced our experience at Plagido's to hear their "story" firsthand. It's clear that they have a passion for quality wine. We usually prefer whites, but their fruit wine was especially notable. Apple, Cranberry and Blackberry were exquisite. For the first time we felt it had the right acidic balance and left us wanting more. Definitely recommend to all!
We went there on a Groupon deal and glad we did. Nice friendly people there and some really delicious wines. Their Sangria is one of the best we have had. It's a little off the beaten path for us but worth the ride. We will definitely go back.
My husband and I found Plagido's by luck after being sent to Hammonton by suggestion from a couple we met on the AC boardwalk. They told us about the wonderful Italian food in the town (known as "New Jersey's most iItalian town") and the Mount Carmel festival. When we researched online we found out about the wineries in the area. Plagido's has a tasting room right next to the vineyards and the family house. A husband and wife team run the winery and Christine handles all the tasting as well as a small tour. For $8 you can have a tasting and keep the wine glass. The wines were all great including 2 blueberry wines made with local berries and Christine was fantastic! She knows everything there is to know about the winery, had helpful information about other local wineries and also what to visit in the town of Hammonton. We would recommend this to any wine drinker and anyone who wants to learn about wine.
My husband and I first had their wine at a local wine tasting event, but then had to seek out the wine tasting room. We've been to many NJ wineries and Plagido's has the BEST cranberry wine of anything I have ever tasted. It seriously tastes like juice and is the right amount of sweet and tart. I also highly recommended their sangria and the 5.8 earthquake. Tasting room is small, but we've been to the tasting room several times (since it's right by the AC Expressway) and it's never crowded.
I had purchased wine from them at wine festivals before so I made a point of visiting the winery. We had the most gracious host to pour our tastings who was so knowledgeable about wine and specifically theirs. They use only their own grapes. We now have 3 favorite wines and 1 favorite winery!
My trip was a pleasant surprise in that their gift room area was the prettiest and most full of great wine gifts and accessories of all the wineries in the area!
I love this winery! I always have the best time there and the staff is amazing! My favorite wine is the Cabernet Franc, there is no other like it anywhere! I have popped in there several time for the wine trails and I wind up staying hours since the winemaker is a sweetheart!
My husband got there early on a Sunday, maybe an hour after they opened, we were the only visitors, it was easy to find and no cars in the lot. We ran through the tasting, we both prefer dry so that is all we tasted. The flavors all seemed a little "off" but we each decided on one we liked and bought a glass and a cheese tray to take outside. They had a picnic table and two two seater tables, also a few chairs. You look at the winery which is fine buy you're essentially walking out of a warehouse rather than a cozy tasting room to a concrete "loading dock" No, that's not what it it, it's the patio, but that's what it feels like. The winery is very new, they have a TON of potential and I wish them all the luck in the world achieving higher quality wines, a more cozy feel and nicer cheese plates. They sincerely need more guidance. I'll go back again next year with the hopes that they have achieved a few of the things I mentioned.I think the winery is worth a go, just not a place I want to relax and enjoy a bottle with my husband. Maybe next year.Tastings are $8 taste as much as you want and keep the glass.
