Housed in the Art Deco Hartsville Community Center Building, the Center Theater operated for decades as a movie house. It is one of the Pee Dee region’s premier performing arts facilities, featuring a wide array of theatrical productions, musicals, comedies, and entertaining children’s theater performances.

I've visited here many times and recently to watch a pageant. I was very upset them a staff member tapped me on my shoulder in the middle of the program to ask me to spit my chewing gum out. Hince I am 24 years old not a child and to have a staff member ask me to spit out my gum was in my option very rude. there were no signs posted saying to chew to gum. Very rude staff,
