i am now 16 and i still love this place! there are cool experimaents and it is entertaining for all ages.
I am an Explainer at Exploration Works. That means I volunteer to assist students who are there on field trips. The students are always engaged and excited during the time they spend there. If you go on your own you'll find something for all ages. There is a large area for toddlers to play and explore. There are revolving exhibits that teach older children about various subjects. Examples are eyes and weather. The upstairs area is less formal and allows for interactive play. All children enjoy the water area where they need to wear a raincoat but still get wet.Children return again and again and learn something new each time.
Just take a peek inside and experience the fun "science". Even tho you may not have any kids, just get in line with others, no one will know. Then go be a kid again and have fun. When you return, bring your own children or grandchildren and watch the fun.
Exploration Works offers exploration for all ages. The exhibits change on a regular basis, so there is often something new as well as the favorites that are available each visit. In addition to the museum, there are a multitude of classes offered to encourage further exploration and learning for all ages and interests throughout the year. Check their website to see what is happening. From Little Sky Country and water tables for the little ones to space flight simulations for older "kids" and trout hatching in the aquarium, Exploration Works has something for everybody. Don't miss the gift shop and coffee cart!
It is a small museum. What is there is nice, but not worth the expense. I know they do have changing exhibits and they offer classes.
Guys, don't waste your money on this place. They put their dollars into the building's looks, to draw you inside, then into anything of quality inside. There is nothing of any real value inside. The first floor has a few basic science stuff, which are really not good at all and the second floor is basically classrooms if you can call them that.I am a teacher and this place, although they want you to think their educational, is all hokey pokey ! Again, don't be fooled, this place is a complete waste of your money and time. Totally fake!!
Exploration Works provides lots of hands-on activities for the kids that are both fun and educational!
This place is a fun place to spend an hour or so. Not as great as some other children's museums I have visited recently. Clean, lots of fun activities, several hand cleaning stations. Cost should have been less but oh well.
They've done a great job of creating an adventure destination for kids and grownups as well. The special displays change over time, so it's worth going back if you have been there before.
Was very nice for younger aged children. There was somethings geared toward old children. Price was kind of high for what you got.
