we loved everything there all was perfect. we wish to come back next summer to visit and see more animals. Very interesting for kids and parents.
Driving thru the animals was really fun ,they stick their heads right in your car ...I suggest to bring your own lettuce and carrots (they have pellets there you can buy at the gates but the animals don't seem to interested in them ).my kids were scream with laughter as the animals were sticking their heads in the car ...lol
Travelled from Northern Ontario to Hemmingford for our visit and was not disappointed. The experience with out two grandsons was excellent as they enjoyed the Safari as well as the Water Park features as well. Great value when coupled with accommodation packages as advertised on the web site.
Great place to take kids. It is a zoo both a walking and drive thru safari. There is a separate deer park section. There are rides similar to small country fair but something for everyone. There is a beautiful waterpark three different pools two of them with waterslides and one with a splash park. Affordable and delicious restaurant on site. Packages available with hotel or camping. Beautiful flowers throughout the park. Clean and inexpensive Canadian trip.
nice experience.best thing was animals coming up to ur car and u had so many photo ops.rainy weather in the end of august.. but it was fun.the water park was amazing... not prepared clothing wise....loved it and the kids who went with us loved it as well
Every year we go. Start off with the drive thru safari. We go as early as we can before it gets too hot (animals tend to stay away in the shade later). Great animal interactions. Then we walk over to the giraffes. Stunning! We bring our own lettuce and carrots...much loved by the animals. We do buy some pellets for the deer trail. We then walk the park... finally finding the lion tunnels. Truly up close and personal. This year we got to see a feeding demonstration. Very interesting. Last stop is the walk through deer trail. Smaller deer are more timid but the older ones love to come up for pellets. Nice family day!
Went here because I never attended a drive through safari park . I wasnt expecting it to be bumper to bumper traffic , sure animals aprroched but only buffalo a camel and a few deer. Not many animals to see and if you stop even for a few minutes to try and coax an animal over the impatient people behind you beep their horns in such a panic to move along, scaring animals away. Be prepared it took about 3hrs to drive through with no option for exit due to such heavy traffic. On a more positive note the shops and restaurants In the park are very nice with lots of beautiful things and good food. the walking zoo part of the park was very nice. the monkeys had some babies and it was just beautiful. and the kids seemed to be having a great time in the water park.
Great fun for families with young kids mostly.Improved greatly over the years! The water section was the most appreciated by the kids and the drive safari was crazy
Loved this place, we picked up some GIGANTIC bag of carrots from a local farm stand run by nice older couple for cheap, these carrots were good too(ate quite a few ourselves). Nothing like being swarmed by animals looking for food, water buffalo, deer, thingys, and crazy slobbering camels to name a few. We went when it was slow so had place to ourselves. Some animals would just wait for you to pull up and feed them ..others would stick their heads inside impatiently demanding num nums. The camels are aggressive but fun and actually chased us (they run fast) and as a group tried to block the car off to get fed. Save some food for the giraffes after the drive through, they will reach down and eat out of your hand too! It was freezing, raining hard all day and still we had good time. Park inside is small but worth going for the auto zoo. Thanks Canada!
My husband and I, our 3 kids (ages 2, 2 and 6) and my parents visited on a Sunday in May. We had a great time, it was so much fun. We arrived just as the park opened and drove through the Safari Adventure first thing. There weren't that many other cars, probably because it was so early in the season, and we were able to stop and spend as much time with each set of animals as we liked. Camels, Watusi, Ostriches, Red Deer, Water Buffalo, Wapiti, Bison and more, all came right up to our car and it was so fun to feed them the carrots and lettuce which we had brought with us. We spent about and hour and a half on the Safari Adventure and then went to see the giraffes which you can also feed so we were glad that we still had some carrots and lettuce left over. After a picnic lunch, we went to the tiger haven and lion tunnels, this was also a lot of fun, you can really see the lions up close. We also enjoyed the Five Continents Animal Farm and the Deer Trail and the kids loved the Nairobi Park playground. The aquapark wasn't open yet during our visit.Overall a great trip, highly recommend, would definitely go back especially during the low season when it isn't so crowded.
