Ms. Lynne Williams, the foundation executive director, gave us a tour of the house and grounds after the CVB suggested this site and called her for us. Ms. Howard Weeden was a excellent portrait artist and poet from the post-Civil War era. Original house with period furnishings and original artwork. Admission is nominal and worth every penny! If you have just a couple of hours to visit Huntsville, the Weeden House should be the first place you go if you are interested in history.
