It seems every time that we return for a visit, the entire trip is filled with smiles and friendly greetings. The beautiful scenery and people of this community give you a sense of belonging. Boundary Waters is a place where you ate treated like family.
This being our third visit to Boundary Waters; I have to say, this place is awesome. We enjoy every thing about it. The boating, twice pontoons, this time a Boston Whaler run about, great equipment and very clean. Not only is the cabin on the point serene, but even the hotel like rooms are great and have great views. The staff, from the office at check-in, to the crews at the docks are some of the friendliest and most helpful that you will ever meet. Can't wait until our next trip here. A wonderful place for a quick getaway or for a week long stay. Love this place! p.s., A big thank you forplacing the birthday flowers, for my wife, in the room prior to our check-in.
Was Googling "best boat on lake chatuge" and got the "best" marina on lake Chatuge. Wonderful assortment of all types of boats from a 320hp wakeboard boat to a kayak. We chose a CraigCat that looks like one of those air boats you take out to the Everglades but with a 30hp motor. We took our GPS and it registered a top speed of 20mph as we cruised around the lake. Great sun protection from a Bimini top and after 3.5 hours tooling around the lake only used 3.4 gallons of gas. As far as I know Boundary was the only marina to have one for rent. Great service and safety conscious as we had to watch a safety video before renting a boat. Very nice folks and very reasonable rates.
Boundary Waters is, by far, the best maintained property in the Marina industry. The equipment, pontoon boats, paddle boards, etc are meticulously maintained and spotless. The staff is well trained and very responsive. The accommodations were clean and comfortable. This resort is quiet and restful, yet provides plenty of activities.
The crew at Boundary Waters was most efficient and extremely polite. We rented a skiff from them and have nothing but great things to say. Every person we talked to at Boundary Waters was top notch. We will definitely visit again.
Until it rained...but not their fault...knew it was coming. Very good customer service and very nice boat for rental.
Was in are for a conference and had a few extra hours and contacted them via phone- very friendly and resasonably rates.Like new boats.Suggestion- Watch safety video prior to going to office to save about 10 minutes.(still have to take test)
We had a great time, service was fabulous, and the boat was perfect. Great family feel, and a lake that's not overcrowded. But read the map carefully - easy to get into the wrong cove, and the water can disappear fast!
We rented a sport pontoon for 4 hours in on Labor Day morning. Staff was efficient, answered our questions and we were sent on our way quickly. The lake wasn't as crowded as some of the nearby lakes. In fact, we pretty much had it to ourselves for most of the morning. This made it easy for us to pull the tube and not worry about other boats. We would definitely go again.
The lodging at Boundary Waters is fantastic for a stay at the lake. This was our second time staying here. We stayed in suit D (A - D have kitchens) and it was very clean and comfortable. This part of Lake Chatuge is very peaceful and quiet. The staff was friendly and accommodating. There is a small gift shop in the office with clothes, hats, decor, and snacks. We spent most our days kayaking and exploring the lake (kayaks and canoes are free to anyone lodging). You can also rent boats or jet skies during your stay. We visited near by Helen for tubing and shopping. There is a Piggy Wiggly in Hiawassee for grocery shopping as well as restaurants and antique shops. You can't beat the views of the mountains or the price of lodging here! A great getaway!
