The excitment of the game and ease of parking. will go back
reasonable prices, great for a group get together.
Took our grand children here to a ball game they had a great time. Will be back when the schedule allows us to go.
A clean, safe place to watch a minor league baseball game. The stadium lacks the character and energy you will find in the newer more eccentric ballparks. Prices are reasonable, seats are basically all the same, etc. The bottom line is if you want to watch a baseball game the "Met" is a good choice, but if you are looking for an experience and character in your ballfield and time spent at the park - there are other possibilities.
The Barons offer a great family experience... Fun for the whole family. The hamburgers and hot dogs are cooked on a grill and are the best "staduim" fare I've had... Take time to see the Barons...
If you like baseball you will like to attend a game at Regions Field. The Birmingham Baron, who are a farm team of the White Sox play here. The field is laid out where it is easy to catch a homerun, but even easier to catch foul balls!! Tickets are reasonable and they often have specials. Come on out to see the Barons play!
We LOVED this place!! This park is wonderful. It has everything you want/need and still has that "cozy" feel to it. I didn't really see a bad seat in the house and ticket prices are so reasonable! The night we went they had a fireworks display. I wasn't really expecting much considering the ticket prices but WOW I was truly impressed! Usually when we are in a place like this I don't let the kids get too far from me because if they do, I can't enjoy myself for worrying about keeping an eye on them. This place felt so safe, I let them roam freely.
We attend games to watch the Barons play on a regular basis. Very relaxed venue, stuff for the little kids to do when they get restless, great place for an office BBQ party or any party for that matter. You won't be disapointed, even if they don't win.
I liked the Hoover Met, have not seen the new stadium that the Barons will call home in downtown Birmingham. The new location will have to be nice to keep pace.
This is a new minor league ballpark. I was skeptical, because I feared the area of town just a little. However, it is close to the UAB medical center; and police do patrol the areas North and west. The facility is very nice. The conessions are typical and a little pricey, although the have Thirsty Thursday reduced priced beverages; hot dog night with reduced prices, etc. Parking is a bit of a problem, with inadequate dedicated space, so you can find yourself driving around looking. There are lots of local "entrepreneurs" hawking their staked out parking areas for $5 and $10 a pop. We found free parking on the street a few blocks away on a lazy Sunday afternoon when the crowd wasn't too large. Ticket prices are reasonable. The Club level provides air conditioned seating inside when you get hot outside. So take your family out to the ballgame. It's cheaper than a movie!!
