Good coastal drive around the heads and not so far as we thought it would be, great scenery, perfect natural setting.
Great beach for surfers but also great for children as it has a shallow lagoon type pool so children can paddle
Our trip was based around diving and the coast lines. This beach was amazing and definitely a beach we will be visiting often
This beach was 5 min from our place of stay. What a beautiful view from the top of the short trek on the right. The waves were nice and we had a bit of a swim close in as it was chilly in January. I liked that there was a trail to hike as well as get in a swim afterwards.
A must on everyones travels.A beach you need to be aware of if swiming rips.Fantastic place if you Like Photography.Great place if you like to spend some energy climbing.
lots of cafes, and cute little shops awesome boats, parked up with people laxing out on them, the Reva restaurant was yummy as, had the nicest eggs benedicts, and cocktail list
The beaches were clean and beautiful. We spent the day sitting in the sun and enjoying a picnic lunch. Not much swimming as the water was very cold.
Never neglect a stop off at a beach on the eastern ( Pacific ) side of Northland. Even during summer months you may find total seclusion and privacy, or perhaps another couple at most. The seabirds serenade you with unexpected song, the sounds and cadence of the surf are so calming yet invigorating at the same time. Each seems more beautiful than the last, and the frequency of beach access spots is staggering !
I visited on 24th September 2014. Looong beach, in the summer good for surfing. It is nice place to stay. No camping over night. There is a shop nearby.
After driving to beach and parking in car park,( ps toilet available) .short walk to a beach very long tide coming in fast so did not go to far as did not want to get trapped. Only two other people around. wonder to behold ... enjoy
