This place was bustling with activity. It seemed like more people were coming here for the ice cream, but I came for the chocolate. I got a coffee bean truffle and a champagne truffle. Both were delicious.
We are very fortunate to live in a city that has a homemade chocolate shop! We frequent often, and there is really nothing negative I can say about this wonderful place( a bit pricey, but well worth the quality!!!). They have candies beautifully packaged for gifts, or you can hand pick from the display case. Knoke's also carries great tasting ice cream. The dark chocolate salted caramels and milk chocolate covered potato chips are 2 of our faves!
What a fun, fun chocolate, old-tyme candy and ice cream shop. They are doing it right. Perfect spot for a cone, candy or baked goodie after dinner across the street. Interesting homemade ice cream flavors and crazy good looking chocolates. Best part? You can pre-pay for some treats for a friend, they put the recipient's name on a chalk board and weekly post the names on Facebook. See your name, come get your goodies and pay it forward to someone else. Genius!
This place is a quaint little shop filled to the brim with chocolates, candies, and ice cream. There were several flavors to choose from and prices seemed very reasonable.
Stop in for chocolates, a huge variety of candies or, better yet, one of the numberous homemade ice cream flavors. A healthy size, single scoop is only $2 and will put a smile on your face any time of the year. It is wonderful to see a charming shop like this in a historic town like Hudson.
Wonderful chocolates!! They were even on Bethenny's show!! Great opportunity for you. Wonderful service, maybe a few more dark chocolates?
Knoke's is one of the first places I will bring my guests when visiting Hudson. The sea salt chocolate covered caramels are sure to please any chocolate addict (milk and dark are equally divine) and the kids love the ice cream and chocolate covered gummy bears. For something new, try the blueberry balsalmic truffle or the chocolate covered frito bar.
…need we say more?! We go all the time, for gifts, special occasions, just for ice cream… whatever. All the time. Any time...
What else can be said?? This is my favorite place to buy gifts and has gotten me out of the doghouse more than once...I will continue to frequent this establishment and tell my friends about this Hudson gem.
We have been buying our chocolates from Knoke's for a few years. The chocolate is freshly made and has a wonderful, fresh aroma. They have expanded since we first started going there, and now occupy a beautifully remodeled vintage store front on a side-street in downtown Hudson. Parking can be tricky, but it's fairly inexpensive. Just before Thanksgiving, we purchased 2 different boxes of chocolate: the 15 piece truffle assortment, which was $18.75 plus tax (5.5 %), and the 24 piece assorted chocolates for $21.45 plus tax. We kept the truffles, which were delicious, and gave the other box as a gift.We noted that they now make pies as well on a second trip in December. We tried the French Silk Pie; it was pretty sweet and had an odd crust. Won't buy that again, but might try a different one. They also stock various types of candy other than the chocolates, and ice cream. One note: going there on one of the days of the Chamber of Commerce Christmas Tour of Homes can be very unpleasant as we found out on one of these recent trips. The other "patrons," who were mostly there to look, crowded into the store and attacked the free samples like a school of rude piranhas. Beware!
