We stayed on Cuba streetLots of good shops and vibrant atmosphere Lots of things going on and many food outletsA market on Friday nights with super stalls
It reminded me of every university district I have been to or a replica of a Red Light District. Eclectic shops, rastafarian vibe and cool art. Even though they have a few different locations, my favorite was the Iko Iko store full of fun cards and knick knacks.
We liked the pedestrianized shopping district with hip stores. There was a lot of activity, and it was just fun to wander.
Great street with a bunch of food and bars. Go during Rugby 7 and you'll feel like it's Halloween. Lots of fun!
Lots of eateries, food from all over the world. Shops to suit all, with lots of bargains, and side-streets to browse. People from all walks of life, and students make it even livelier!
I loved exploring this area and specially taking the time to look at the amazing buildings and architecture of a bygone era. Sadly when you look up at these buildings you see that some of them are in a dilapidated state and in urgent need of a makeover (graffiti, falling apart) This area was buzzing when I was there (a sunny Saturday afternoon) all the cafes, bars, coffee shops with their outdoor seating areas were full. The shops are alternative and worth poking your nose into. The Left bank is a quaint little arcade off Cuba Street but was sadly lacking in atmosphere and it could be so much more. I had a lovely lunch at a quaint, unpretentious little Mexican cafe called Viva Mexico which is tucked away at the back of The Left Bank which made you think of an authentic Mexican cantinas.
Great food options for dinning out from budget to 5 star options along with craft shops, bucket fountain and more.Great for people singing and performing their skills :)
Loads of cafes, bars, restaurants and shops. Great vibe with all ages enjoying the area. Night markets are a waste of time. But otherwise not a bad place to visit in what is really a pretty sleepy country town.
Unique mix of restaurants and shops cater to all tastes. Great if you've got a day to wander up and down to appreciate the art. A stop at Fidel's for coffee is a must!
