This was way better than we expected. We had a great time with the kids. We thought it was really just for them, but we all had a blast. Considering the lack of snow they do a really great job of keeping it up.
we had a very small child with us and they had rules as to how big and how old they had to be. ours just didnt quite make the grade to be allowed on the slopes but better safe than sorry. many tried to argue with the rules but the rules are the rules so respect them. those tubes move fast down those slopes and for a very smll child it could result in injury. fun place and safe. our little one didnt notice that he couldnt ride the tubes he had fun just playing in the snow.
We went to the tube park when the visibility on the ski hill worsened. We were there mid afternoon and there was no crowd at all. Six full runs and one children's run were open at the time but they weren't full length because it had been quite warm and the snow was slow. We were told that when it is very cold the runs become icy and you can go quite fast. There comes a point where it is actually too fast and they have to shut the park or reduce the number of lanes being used to avoid people crashing into each other. We bought the 2 hour pass and stayed for about 1:20. We did 7 or 8 runs in this amount of time. The attendent was great about spinning me in my tube to add to the fun factor!! The walk from the bottom of the runs to the beginning of the magic carpet seemed quite long, but that could've been because the snow was so soft it was like trying to run in sand. We had a 10% discount card from our hotel but it was still expensive.
This was really fun. They have two sections -- one that is slower and one that is more faster. There is also a kiddy section, too. They were able to spin us. The tube ride was faster than expected and was really fun! While I enjoyed my one hour of tubing, I would recommend not buying more than one hour- it gets pretty repetitive.
We went on a mid-week evening so it was really quiet. So quiet they closed the park early and we felt a bit like they were waiting for us to go! Runs were great fun, plenty open and seemed reasonable price at $22 an adult. My only complaint is the walk to the lift seemed really long and hard work in the snow!
Ride the gondola for free to the tube park. If you have small children, or are physically challenged, beware that there is a lot of walking and stair climbing to get to the tube park, and also a lot of uphill climbing from the end of the tube runs to the moving carpet. That wore us out a little bit. There are 8 lanes with different speeds. The beginners and little ones can start half way down the first lane. We paid for the 2 hour ride and it was plenty. Everybody had a great time!
Seven lanes of varying speed and hills provide plenty of variety for the kids (and adults). A little expensive for one hour as we only got five runs in each due to the waiting lines, but this is a great break from skiing if you have a couple hours to try something new. Very convenient location on a Blackcomb Mountain day lot.
I visited with 6 or 7 other friends, all of us in our mid twenties. Most of us had spent the day at Whistler and were pretty spent. We wanted to spend one night doing something other than hitting the bars. Looked up the Tube Park and so happy we did!We arrived closer to closing and paid for an hour, with around 30-40% discount for a few of the lanes being closed. The staff were really nice, looked like they had just as much fun pushing and spinning our group down the runs as we did. There was music playing the whole time and the lines really weren't bad at all. After reading some of the other reviews, we could have just missed them by going later but I don't know. Walking to the top of the run wasn't too rough, but I could see it becoming a problem for cold children or older visitors that werent comfortable walking on slippery surfaces. All in all, an excellent visit. So happy we went and will for sure return. Also, bring a camera. We had a few GoPros on board that captured some of the best photos/videos of our trip.
This was a great tubing park and we went during the day when it was not busy. Unfortunately with the weather how it is the walk was pretty slushy and wet and so really hard work. Runs were good though and we go 5 in, in the hour. Little one couldn't walk up any more hills after that. The only issue is the cost we found it very expensive for all three of us.
Great and long slides. Longer than the ones we did in Sun Valley. Great set up, will be back for sure. Have food and drinks on site as well as restrooms. Some of Blackcombs ski runs go right by it.
