The Carousel was fun and affordable. Our family loved riding the old original horses. It was not a short little ride it was a full song. Perfect for the price.
May there always be carousels in this increasingly fast-paced, techno-saturated world! Many people worked very hard to save and lovingly restore this beautiful carousel for the rest of us who remember the magic of choosing our horse (Oh, the black one with purple flowers in her flying mane!) and waving at Nana and Papa as we rode by a dozen times while the music played ... and also so we could share that precious experience with our children and grandchildren. Pure, simple joy!
The carousel here is from the 1900's and it has been repaired, and repaired well, and is a gift of times gone by. The carousel is still operative and both of us enjoyed taking pictures of it. Leaving a nice tip will allow your children to see what we had, many years ago. Certainly worth seeing.
For anyone looking for a great family attraction I would highly recommend trip to the Carousel. It is the 2nd oldest in North America and the last "grand"carousel. It was voted the most beautiful in the northeast by Yankee Magazine! Next door the museum dedicated to Paragon Park is also a great take. The museum and carousel are very family friendly. They brought back found childhood memories.
this carousel had hand carved horses, etc. and was dating back to the early 1900's. it is an operational carousel and there is also the museum right beside it. very enjoyable to watch the children ride.
This is a "Must Visit". The carousel was constructed in 1928 and shipped to Paragon Park. When the park closed, it was moved to its present location, reassembled complete with organ. It still runs, giving children and "young at hearts" so much pleasure and excitement. The animals are being slowly renovated helped by private donation and local fund raising. Please visit and contribute. Hearing children laugh as they ride their elegant steeds is worth it!
The carousel has been beautifully restored to its former glory. Such fun to take the grandkids and kids young and old for a ride on the carousel. This is a must-see and ride attraction if you are in Hull. Please support this remaining attraction from Paragon Park.
My kids liked looking around and most definitely enjoyed the carousel. It is nice to have the ocean breeze from Nantasket beach across the street. Not sure how it compares to pricing but it's $2 a ride per rider any age. It was a nice treat my kids enjoyed.
We love the Paragon Carousel and ride it whenever we go through Hull - even though we are adults - everyone can be a kid at heart on the carousel. We love the feeling of nostalgia on the historic carousel. The wooden horses are amazing and we hope they continue to raise enough money to refurbish all the horses. A great piece of American history! Rides are only $2.50. The museum is small, but well done.
The kids wanted to ride and it was a great old carousel. Fun time. There is also a great ice cream stand at the carousel.
