My husband and I recently attended a wine and chocolate pairing event at Fox Fire Farms. The setting was absolutely beautiful, the entire staff went above and beyond, and I went home with a bottle of my favorite Fox Fire Farm wine! We loved the experience, and will certainly return. Thanks so much! Amy and Steve VanBuskirk
This 100 year old ranch should be on your list if you like scenery and great wine. The owners are extremely congenial and happy to answer all questions about the history of this beautiful place and the great wines they are serving
We attended a summer wedding here in July, and had a spectacular time. The surrounding area is beautiful fields, mountains and flowers. The sheep nearby made the wedding that much more charming. There is a house on the property for coordination and hosting of wedding activities. This wedding was outside, and could not have been more beautiful.
This is our second summer to visit the winery. My husband and I have a seasonal home at Vallecito Lake. This is a great respite in a tranquil setting. The Chardonnay is excellent, yes it is grown in California and bottled in Colorado and if you are familiar with the wine industry this is not unusual. I live in California and have been to many winery's this rates as well as many I have been to. The best part it's not crowded, you can relax, drink good wine, enjoy the surroundings, feel welcome and not rushed. We have taken friends with us for relaxing afternoon and they were not disappointed, we always bring home a few bottles for later. So go, enjoy wine as it should be, be glad this winery is here and appreciate it for what it is. Thanks Steve we will return. your Chardonnay is the best!
We had a great time there. Wine was great, the owners were friendly, and a beautiful setting. Highly recommend visiting if you're in the area...well worth the detour! They don't serve food, but encouraged us to bring food next time to eat there. They have indoor seating and an outdoor patio.
This is truly a wonderful place with amazing people! Hope to re-visit again soon! Thank you for making our visit so pleasant!
The veranda seating area looks out over a park-like setting and on to pastures and mountains. The food, entertainment, and wines were such a good match for a perfect evening.
Fox Fire Farms is in a serene setting of rolling hills and produces some very good wine. Their Taste of Spring event is a good time for the whole family. There are great local artists and craftsmen with unique items for sale, good food, and playful music. A relaxing way to spend a beautiful Southwest Colorado afternoon!
Scenic (and unexpected) winery in the SW Colorado mountains near Durango. Were there one night for live music and wine tasting. We will return next summer!
We appreciate the owners/farmers of Fox Fire Farms for having the "moxie" to work to establish a local winery in La Plata County. We have visited the beautiful setting of this working farm/ranch many times over the past few years and have watched with admiration the growth of the winery. We love the estate produced Riesling and the farm dinners are awesome!
