Praia do Aventureiro was the highlight of our honeymoon in Brazil. We hired a boat for a daytrip there from our villa on Praia Vermelha. This is a very long, jawdroppingly beautiful white-sand beach on the south side of the island. Because it is so remote, you'll have the beach almost all to yourself. It's great for suntanning, relaxing with a book, taking photos or surfing (you can rent a surfboard at the beach). We were lucky enough to have two Magellanic penguins waddle onto the beach and let us pet them.Be forewarned, however, that there are no bathroom facilities, and your food options are limited (though you can find someone to cook you a basic meal if you ask around). In addition, the beach is on the southern, Atlantic side of Ilha Grande so if you're sailing to the beach (your only other option is to hike in), you'll likely be in for a very choppy ride — but if you can stomach a little seasickness, it's well worth the trip.
Nice remote beach. Hard to reach (by boat), but lovely. Famous for "fallen"the palm tree. Could do very nice walk from and to this beach.
Remote and beautiful. This beach has the most unique palm tree (with a 90 degree angle) I have ever seen. Makes for a fantastic postcard. The water is calm and clear and you can go out a very long way and it is still shallow (great for kids). There were beautiful crabs and a small food stand. Plan to stay several hours.
Nice stop on all-island tour, small beach with bar / restaurant, a couple of small trails for exploring, some of group snorkeled here.
It's a very beautiful place, this beach has a very clear water, and it's part of Ilha Grande national park, so it has a control how many peoples can stay there, so it's never very crowded, and it's perfect. This place don't have any hotel, hostel structure, only camping. So adventurers beach is only to adventurers
My favorite, definetely. It's just so charming, there is this little church, and there aren't many people....paradisiacal.
This beach is incredible, remote, protected by a small bay on the open sea side of Ilha Grande. It has the famous coconut tree that lays horizontally over the water. But this is not an easy place to get to - walking takes several hours up and down hill from Praia Vermelha, on the far south end of the island. By boat you need to get to Proveta first, then convince a fisherman to take you there - which cannot be done under bad weather / sea. It is worse the trouble, thou... Right beside this beach are Praia do Sul e Praia do Leste - protected areas you can (but shouldn't) walk to over a large rock that separates them.
We stopped here for a little over an hour with the island tour by fast boat and it was one of the nicest beaches of the Island. Many people come here to camp, I can understand why, the long beach, coconut trees and warm waters really made the highlight of the tour. Shame no services were offered here, we were dying for a nice, fresh caipirinha!
Amei essa praia. Para entrar, permanecer nela é necessario pegar autorização em Angra no centro de turismo. Acomodaçes lá somente por camping. Existem diversos bares, quiosques e restaurante.
A stunning beach on the atlantic side of the island. Inside the protected national park only camping is allowed in certain spots on the beach - the rest is unspoilt. Just a gorgeous setting - white sand beaches for miles. Lots of young(-ish) hipster crowds stay in the camp sites. They have a great time with rasta music etc. Seems great for a stay if you are the backpacking type. Unfortunately they also leave behind plastic bottles and other trash under the trees on the beach - get your act totgether! these are not poor ignorant kids , but well educated spoiled brats who should know better. Dont ruin a truely beautiful spot on earth - take your trash with you!
