We went on a speed boat trip to this lagoon, Lagoa Azul and a couple of beaches. We felt like we were on a tourist conveyor belt and there were loads of boats here when we arrived. The snorkeling is ok (lots of fish) but I would say not as good as Lagoa Azul.
We reached there by boat and snorkeled around, the scenery outside and inside the water is beautiful.
We took a boat our here to snorkel. So did a million other people. The snorkeling was OK but snorkeling is not Ilha Grande's best attraction. If you've ever snorkeled in the Caribbean you will not be impressed.
It was a bit of a disappointment that people were not respecting the reef by standing on it...there were fish but likely only because they are feeding them. Still a beautiful spot however!
Definitely worth a visit. You can get here by doing one of the many snorkeling trips on offer around the island - no need to book in advance as there are loads of companies on the island offering the trip. We wen't snorkeling at about four beaches/lagoons and this one was the best with more to see under water as well as being the most beautiful. The trip cost us about $90R (£22/27 euro) and was well worth it. If you've snorkeled on tropical reefs then you won't see the same here as what you have seen but good nonetheless.
Great area to snorkel and enjoy a relaxed afternoon. We spent about 2 hours there and saw color fish in clear waters. Great place for anyone, kids or older ones....
Went on a half-day boat trip and saw starfish and other fish. It's busy with all the other boat tours but that's pretty unavoidable.
We went there with a boat trip for snorkling. Would recommend it, although there are many tourist boats at once, not many corals left around.
We didn't find this place particularly amazing. It has some lovely green water and fish. But overrated and crowded in our view. If you've been snorkelling in good places before this isn't anything special.
What a beautiful little spot! Its about 40-ish minutes from Vila Abraao, by speedboat. The water is so clear and so green! The boats stop at the shallow part by the rock formations to swim and snorkel. There were so many fish! Our tour guide threw bread so the fish would swarm us ..it was so cool! We even found some starfish. This little beach is very popular but we liked it because it didn't seem overly 'touristy'. When we went there were 2 other boats with about 15 other people but still didn't feel crowded despite it being a fairly small place.
