I liked this beach a lot, but the trail is not for the faint of heart. Out of the five beaches i visited in Itacare, this trail is the most difficult in my opinion. It is about a half our downhill to the beach then about 45 minutes uphill going out. It is so worth the hike! And the hike is beautiful. Do it! We did not go with a guide, but some do.
I would label it the "wild one", Prainha beach "the perfect one", and Engenhoca the most beautiful, all these 3 mentioned beaches are a must for Itacare travelleres and each time I come, I only go to those, unpolluted, virgin, amzing trails, paradise.
Beautiful secluded beach. We took a guided nature hike through the forest and mangrove swamp to get there and had a delicious fresh grilled fish on the beach as the end.
It seems you will find God, the beaches are wonderful. Ecologic tourism! You need only simple things and clothes. Just enjoy the nature. There are places to go in the night, but the beauty is during the day with such amazinng. nature.
Nice, clean, white sand, cheap services and clean water:) the waves are just how you want it! You just pick a place to go in the water.
Get your guide or surf instructor to take you down to Jeribucacu, which is off the beaten track and takes a drive and then a 20 minute walk through the rainforest to get to, but it's well worth it. Praia da Tiririca is second best, with its perfect surf conditions and beach surrounded by rainforest.
Just liked:) jungle walk to get there:) nice people:) lots of palm trees. And the guides are helpful and friendly.
This really is paradise on earth. It takes a 25 minute drive from Itacare and then a 25 minute trek but you will arrive on this beach and think you've landed in paradise. Stay all day to see how the beach changes with the tide - you will find a freshwater pool in the late afternoon where you can bathe, and you can also get delicious cocktails and tapioca here during the day. Great fried fish too.
Prainha, Jeribucacu, Engenhoca are one of the ten most beautiful beaches of Brazil. Perfect waves, white sands, unspoilt, virgin, the scenery of forest meeting the ocean
We have been violently mugged on our way from Tiririca to main street. Kids with guns, obvioulsy filled with crack, coming out of the wood, could have killed us. The owner of our pousada did not seem suprised, and commented that there were frequent muggings on this road. We wished he had informed us before..Itacaré is hosting luxury resorts, and there is a favela at the entrance of the city. This contrast in living conditions is creating a perfect climate for violence...so be aware and take care of yourselves!
