Great Time in the Baiguate and Jimenoa waterfalls in jarabacoa. I had fun and I will return soon. Beutifull natural place.
The water's level fluctuatesThe water's temperature tooSometimes it's a little muddySometimes the clouds obstruct the viewTo me this didn't matterI enjoyed it nonethelessThe sound and feeling of the water crashingThe wind as it danced with my girlfriend's dressA few minutes from the townLightyears away from it allBreathe the air, enjoy your time hereAt the Baiguate Salto Waterfall(walk around a little too! you can boulder, explore the river, break your leg, anything is within your reach!)
Find a tour that will take you repelling down the falls from a river hike up above, you won't regret it! So much fun!
great to go rafting in the area, real fun with Rancho Baiguate. while we were there the river was a bit low, but I can only imagine how great it can be on a nice sunny day when the river levels are high.
Loved this excursion! We road very calm and tame horses across a shallow river and allow the river until we reached the park area. Then on foot we travelled, not very far, and we came upon a beautiful waterfall and shallow water with sand to wade and swim in! Again, it's a must do!! Enjoy!
Off the beaten path and a challenge to find. We were the only hikers on the trail and enjoyed a great afternoon.
Great spot, shady but fairly long hike, and quite steep in spots (~25min down, 40 back up). It's fairly straightforward, but a few side trails, so a guide is recommended ("included" in the price of admission/parking, but will expect a couple dollars tip).If going to Constanza, recommend seeing the falls on the way back. The beautiful road to Constanza often clouds up early, so best to go there first (and then back to the hotel for a shower after the hike, it's not very hot there but can be super-humid...;-)A bit hard to find, small gate and tiny sign...on the left as you're heading south from Jarabacoa.
Loved the water rafting experience and will recommend to everyone over 12... Visit and enjoy..The water was cold but the sun was very hot.
Breathtaking! Salto Baiguate is surrounded by nature. You can easily spend the entire day sun bathing and relaxing in its refreshing fresh water. Do not forget to bring snacks as there is barely any infrastructure nearby.
Just outside of Jarabacoa and along a winding road will bring you to the parking lot for the Salto Baiguate. Stroll along the cement path and then down the steps to the base of a beautiful waterfall and pool. You can also reach the top by the same path or climb the rocks. Very peaceful and relaxing. Take a lunch and spend an hour.
