It was a hazy day when we stopped, we still enjoyed the views and the climb to the top of the observation tower. The gift shop is very nice and I thought reasonably priced. Purchased some really cool goblets in a nice case to give as a gift. Be forwarded the tax in the area is 9% which adds a chunk of change to the bill.
If your touring Arkansas you have to stop here at the overlook. Either first thing or at end days ride this is just an amazing view. Pictures don't do ot justices you have to experience it.
There is a pull off where you can park, climb a fire watch tower and or visit the store. Great for pictures and group shots. A really beautiful landscape that can be enjoyed by all.
This area is a motorcyclist's dream!! Check your brakes and enjoy! I can't imagine what the fall colors would look like!!
If scenery is what you seek, then you have found it. Six of us (three couples) toured the area via motorcycle. See the USA on your Harley...it's the only way.
We were out for a ride along the winding roads of Arkansas and this was our last stop of the day. The view, of course, was great, even if you don't climb the tower. There is a little gift shop to buy the last souvenirs before heading home. Enjoy.
A place to get away from all the business and relax. You can watch the eagles fly around from the deck that overlooks the grand canyon. The food is excellent also.
I have traveled this route before and hadn't previously bothered to stop. I recently did stop and was truly blessed by the wonderful view. I will go back again - and stop again - and take some of my friends and family with me.
it is a pul over, next to the cliff house inn. you can get some dramatic shots. it is the deepest part of the ozarks. one day, after a rain, we saw a rainbow there.
This truly is worth the stop. Beautiful views, fresh air, and excellent photo opportunities galore. We were ending our trip from a church retreat and decided to stop here before our trip home. It was worth it. You can see for miles. Must go!
