The title basically says it all. It's a bit of a hike just to get to the entrance from the base of the city and public transportation, aside from taxis do not come up this high. Recommend using a taxi -- cost is approximately 1 USD from Avenida de las Americas where it meets the stadium.
One of the largest parks in Quito. It's nice but many fires have happened in the last few years, that caused a lot of damage to the birds (there's birdwathing) and the rest of the fauna and flora.
This park is awesome to chill, ride a bike, hang with your friends, or just alone, and mostly all the buses pass near by
This is a great place to take a hike or ride a mountain bike. It's a forest that has become a national park. You can find cool monuments inside the woods. You can also get a beautiful view of the city from here.
Big park in the center of Quito. You can rent a place and do you own barbecue on the grill right there. Not many options to spend the time. But it's a nice place to be in touch with nature, has some sports' facilities as well. Entrance is free, but if one decides to rent one of the many barbecue places, that is paid.
The park has amazing geographical features, making it a real treat to walk, jog, or bike on. It's usable all year long, having long summer weather and short rain storms. Even for a walk with the dogs, it's a great place to be, with amazing view of Quitos valleys.
It's a park. If you don't have kids, it's not worth your time. If you have kids, it's well worth a visit because they have several nice playgounds and plent of room to run around. Bring water!
An enormous park, fun for biking, mountain biking, picnic, BBQ, walking and just enjoying wildlife and the peaceful sharm of this park.
Very nice park in a busy urban area of the city. Many active people running around/biking. On weekends there are crafts and venders of all sorts. No need to visit Octavalo with this area so close.
Right in the middle of the city, great scenary, all types of trails, from family rides to technical single tracks, you can spend hours riding the trails and having lots of fun.
