With the advent of technology, manual glass making is rare and Moser is keeping it alive. It was a very refreshing experience and was an excellent shopping opportunity to buy some wine glasses. The only disappointment was that the worker are not highly paid and drink almost 2/3 beers a day just to keep hydrating as the temperature exceed 40 degree C in the workshop even in winter.Must visit when making a trip to Karlovy Vary.
Went to the factory tour. Now understand the effort behind each glass. Very friendly tour guide. You can try your hand at blowing the glass.
We found the museum an interesting place to visit and the film was very enlightening. However for us the highlight was the visit into the factory where we were able to watch the workers toiling away in 40C heat as they blew the glass to make the amazing works of art that were on sale all over Prague where we were staying. True craftsmen from a former age. As ours was a whistlestop organised tour, we were not allowed the time to visit the shop but were told that the prices were exactly the same as they were in the Moser shop in Kovaly Vary. Beautiful glassware but extremely expensive. Given the workmanship involved, this was not surprising. Well worth a visit.
The Moser glass museum is a true gem.upon entering the facility a short film is screened explaining the entire process of glass making, also the techniques used.next you enter the museum itself. Here many exquisite examples are on display, and they are all for sale.I highly recommend a visit
Don't miss this museum, the glass works there are exquisite.. some of the pieces are breathtakingly beautiful.. one can also visit the factory to see how the glass is processed..
It is nice place but mostly it was for people who want to by something. There were many interesting and beautiful things made from glass. Interesting story which our guide told us. But again, it was mostly for people who interesting in purchases.
Bought a set of glasses. Have been to 2 glass blowing places 1 in Italy, 1 in Eygpt. this was the best one yet
I consider that this is one of the best experiences that I had. To see inside of the factory and watch those men do what they do best is amazing.
It's absolute worth the trip, and you must see the factory inside. It was very interesting, and amazing.
