Excellently run, friendly, knowledgeable service, must do the tasting. We bought a number of cheeses. Also witnessed the birth of a new "cheesemaker" in the "Mooternity" ward.
We popped in to sample some of the cheeses and found a lovely couple running this small cheese factory. You can see the cheese being manufactured by hand and a then a tasting of 11 different cheeses.Very tasty and very friendly, and a must if you like your cheese.
We stopped here on a food and wine trail as we were staying close by in Princetown. The farm is lovely. The cheeses were amazing and you can try before buying. We loved the brie!!! The ladies were very helpful and friendly with expert knowledge in their produce. Well worth a stop! :)
The only place to visit in town for cheese lovers! Fabulous array of cheese as one looks over the "Mooternity Ward"! Made to feel extremely welcome by the staff!
If you like cheese then this is a great place to visit. They have a knowledgable person walking you through many varieties of cheese that they make on site. The people are proud of thier cheese and rightly so.There is a viewing room where you can see the cheese being made.At 4pm, we made our way to the dairy - next door to see the cows being milked on a turnstile that can milk 50 cows in 8 mins.We spent 48 hours around port campbell and sunrises and sunsets were spent around the coastline but the days were filled with gourmet cheese (from here and others) as well as whiskey, chocolate and other great food stops. Definately worth a visit. Great blue cheese and soft cheeses.
We loved the cheeses especially the washed and smeared versionsVery knowledgeable and friendly sales ladyAlso loved the historical information about the area in the cafeThank you wish you had an outlet in Wagga Wagga!!
Great service and the cheese is absolutely worth the drive. I would definitely recommend a visit, great addition to the gourmet food trail.
If you love good cheese GO!!! The Grotto is fantastic!!! Also liked the Brie, and the Blue vein. A great variety of cheeses. Much better than others in the region.
Made to feel welcome and absolutely beautiful cheeses to taste. We stayed and had a cheese platter and looked over the mooternity ward lol
We called at Apostle Whey Cheese this afternoon, they were busy, but not too busy to greet people as they arrived and explain who would assist with a tasting shortly. We tasted 12 different cheeses, our special favourites are Southern Briez (Brie), the Cheddar, and Bolte's Bonanza. Some of the flavoured cheddars were very good too, as were the marinated cheese. There is a sense of fun and humour about the place, makes for a lovely atmosphere.Liked Julian's advice on the wall.... Don't laugh at your wife's choices, after all she chose you!In addition to the tastings, I understand you can purchase a cheese platter to share there. We certainly purchased some cheese to bring home.
