The northern side of Molokai has the highest ocean cliffs in the world. Some as high as 4,000 feet. The views from the outlook are incredible.....breathtaking. Beautiful.
cruised the North Shore on a friend's boat. No other humans around! Not one boat. Only saw us and the majestic natural creations.
My husband and I saw the cliffs from the Kalaupapa Overlook, we saw them as we rode the mules to and from the former leper colony, we saw them during the tour, and a few days later we hiked west from the Kalaupapa Overlook for different views. All were spectacularly beautiful. How long you spend here depends on you, your schedule, and your fitness level. Altogether, we spent many hours here during different visits.
We saw this coast from an air tour and from a ground tour. Awesome views. Coming from the Virginia Atlantic coast where the land meets the sea at sea level, this was amazingly different. Beautiful!
the drive was so slow paced and wonderful. this is the sunday drive! take it slow great little churches to check out the coast line was so beautiful! check it out.
liked the awesome scenic view from the 'free" u.s. park overlook of kalaupapa island & scenic view of pali eastern coast. highest cliffs in the world?
Google Walter Naki and reserve a Moloka'i Pali coast boat ride and fishing trip - (the water was too high the day we went, but he will also show you how snorkeling is done, on a calmer day - he is the best around all-hawai'i) The cliffs are staggering, the waterfalls blow you away. Walter is the man. Do it.
Excellent views good road fun drive. Winding along the coastal highway one can make many stops for photos. Take a picnic lunch with you to fully enjoy the drive and the views. Hawaii at its best
My wife and I rode out some abandoned roads off of 480 and got spectacular view to the east and the west. I would give you more detail, but nothing was marked. We just headed west toward the end of 480 and kept making rights (north) toward to beach/cliffs. One of the roads took us past tons of abandoned cars and large appliances. The landscape was almost lunar-like. It was really cool.
Mokulele Airlines flies pretty low so you have the chance to see many parts of Molokai during the flight. Some spectacular sights!
