Today 12/28/14 my family and I went to brunch at the palm court cafe. When we arrived the hostess asked how many of us there were, my husband said "two adults and two babies we need high chairs for." The hostess response in a very rude manner "so that means there are four" and walked away. After waiting for about five minutes in the waiting area she called for us but we were unable to hear over the usual casino noise, some other people also waiting let us know she had called for us and our table was ready. We promptly got up went to the desk to the hostess when she informed us we were late and she had given our table away so we would have to deal with a booth. She escorted us to the booth and again very unpleasantly said "ok have a good time." We were not given high chairs or even boosters. So my husband got up to go ask for two high chairs first he asked the first lady he saw, she happened to be the keno runner but politely escorted him back to the same hostess who had been very rude to us before. He then politely asked her again for two high chairs for the babies, she then gave my husband attitude and said "ugh, yeah I guess." All why this happened asking for high chairs AGAIN the manager on shift was standing with in an arms length of my husband witnessing this and when my husband turns to her she pretends to not see him then walks away. After my husband returned to the table after a few minutes a busser finally comes with ONE high chair...we ask for another and he says he will try to find one or a booster. Few minutes more pass and he returns with a booster. Not ideal but better than nothing. As our time continues our service wasn't good I never got a refill of my drink that was gone before our food showed up and once our food did come the waiter seemed to think his job was over. We never saw him again nor did our check ever come so we had to go to the counter for them to pull it up so we could pay and get leave. It was the worst experience I have ever had. I will not return soon if ever. I will also never send any family or friends in there to be treated that way.
If you like to game.......here's the casino for you! It's full of glitz, has entertainment and most of all, has great food outlets - coffee shop has extremely affordable specials. Duke's Steakhouse is upper crust and Ti Amo's serves good Italian fare. And, if you like Sushi, well, there's a Sushi Bar as well. This is a popular local casino and visitor's like it as well. Courtyard by Marriott sits on the property so you have a great hotel without having to go through the casino.
Great food, the buffet is one of the best I have ever eaten at! The employees are friendly people and lots and lots of great slots to play! Been coming here for years and look forward to it time and time again!
Smokey, smokey, smokey.......Couldn't get a decent drink until 5PM - only cheap stuff is served until 5 PM and even then there is nowhere to sit that is not a gambling table, slot or electronic poker. I know it is a casino and they want you to gamble, but really, no lounge whatsoever.....
Good food, good machines, friendly staff, great service. Bet nickels to dollars - no problem. If you want to have a nice, inexpensive night out this is the place
Great place to get away. My husband and I try to get away from the children at least once every couple of months. We enjoy the gaming and the restaurants here.
Good food at a great price. Can't buy the steak breakfast or dinner at the store for this price and they cook it perfectly.
Casino Fandango is the nicest place in Carson City by far. Spacious, friendly, and the best buffet for the money (I think) in Northern Nevada. Weekend brunches and Seafood buffets are a steal for those over 55, still a bargain for the rest of us. Loads of variety and quality is good. Choices of gaming are great. It is where I feel I have a fighting chance to win.
This is a good restaurant for any meal either with family or friends. Good specials, friendly and efficient staff. There is also a buffet next to the restaurant to satisfy all your needs.
The combination of movie theater - casino makes this one of the more popular casinos in Carson City area. We have signed up for their club and did play for a bit. Overall, it was fun, but rather average experience for the Reno/Carson City area.We did however like the buffet at Casino Fandango. It is also a good place to spend a little bit of time if one arrives early to go to the movies.Overall, the staff seemed pleasant enough here and works hard.
