This Museum definitely has a treasure trove of information. Unfortunately as only an English speaker a lot of the propaganda was lost on me as I didn't know what it said. But just like the movie sparked us thinking about the goings on in this factory. Nothing can prepare you for this museum. It's great. Plan on 4-5hours to be spent here.
A fantastic museum that tells the story of Krakow at the outbreak of WW2 and the story of the Nazi Occupation. The Schnidler story is included but it is much more than this. If you are a fan of the film you can see some displays about this and get to see Oscars office and desk. You really do need 2-4 hours to see it all. all the displays are in english as well so you do not need a guide. There is also a small cafe here and a small shop. We arrived here on one of the golf cart tours. Having toured around the former Jewish quarter and had an excellent introduction in Krakow before and during the war, the visit to the museum was the icing on the cake. There is nothing else to see in the immediate area but do not miss out on seeing the Ghetto Heroes Square. Entrance to the museum was 19Z each which was a very reasonable price for the quality and size of the venue.
It wasn't quite what we thought it would be but it was set up nicely. After doing Auschwitz the day before, it made sense. I think to do it properly you need to read polish as the English didn't always suffice.
We walked to this museum through the "square with the chairs". It was interesting because of this and the history of the plight experienced by the Jews during the war. I think it is worth the visit but not the best experience. From an artistic point of view it's very good with the incorporation of installations and interactive displays. A long walk but there is transport but the museum is not on the original site.
Definitely worth a visit, well set out, could take your time walking around all the displays. Would have liked to learn more about Schindler though.
