Joli jardin avec les tombes ottomanes au centre de Kyrenia , personne ne peut le manquer il est central pour un petit moment de repos a l'ombre , la poste est juste a coté
An interesting place to stroll through, and look at the old Ottoman period graves and water cistern. When we have previously been in Kyrenia in the summer, it is a nice shady spot to sit.
St. Andrew's Kilisesinin güneyinde yer almaktadır. Bugün büyük bir bölümü otopark olarak kullanılmaktadır. Eski mezarlıktan çok az sayıda mezar kalmıştır. Sembolik gibi!!
The graveyard is located in the lower entrance of lower Girne. Judging from the mosaic ruins discovered in the east of the graveyard, the area was also used in the Roman and Byzantine periods. When it was used as a graveyard the location was outside the city. What is left of the graveyard today are three prism shaped graves with steps, a cistern and a domed mausoleum. The mausoleum is believed to belong to Kyrenian Halil Dizdar who was beheaded as a result of his revolt against Cyprus Governor Cil Osman in 1764.
I wish that we could have been with a knowledgeable Turkish person, who could have given us some insight into the graveyard. We have parked our car on numerous occassions in the adjacent car park & walked through the graveyard without realising that it was a graveyard. Sad really.
Самая известная бесплатная парковка в Гирне. Вокруг деревья, можно посидеть отдохнуть. До основных достопримечательностей города 10 минут пешком,
Baldoken is known as the best parking place of Kyrenia. The graveyard does not attract anybody's attention. The sole worry is to find a room for your car.
A beautiful historic and peaceful place to mull over the world and watch the people pass by. There is an excellent cafe close by in the car park with stunning views over the castle and sea view.
Right next to the municipality car park you'd think you were strolling through a park towards the shops until you see the sign telling you this is where the great Ottomans were buried and you see the numerous large stone sarcophagus. Just stood in awe to be honest!
Girne şehir merkezinin girişinde yer alan bir mezarlık. Mezarları görebilmek neredeyse olanaksız. Çoğu tarihin yıpratıcı sayfaları ve süreç içinde yok olmuş. Tek tük, orda burda birkaç tane görmek mümkün. Mezarlıktan ziyade insanların kullanımına hasredilmiş bir park alanı.
