What a fun and cool space. The inside architecture is so well done. I love the layout and the big long criss cross tables. We purchased some hot chocolate at the Starbucks inside the visitors center and hung out and just relaxed.
We enjoyed the bus tour of the area from the Visitor's Center. The guide was informative and we got a good overview of the area.
Not only does the Visitor's Center offer information, a dedicated employee to answer questions, and a very nice atmosphere, there are really great toys for kids! Never thought I would see magnetic tiles in the toy box at a coffee shop. This is a great location to plan your trip, enjoy a coffee, and distract the kiddos.
A year or so ago a brilliant entrepreneur must have come up with the idea of relocating both the Sun Valley Info Center and the previously poorly located Starbucks to the same location! Not only that, the Starbucks now has amble parking, seating AND beer and wine! This is now a fantistic venue to gather, relax and plan your adventures.
Great restrooms, art and coffee from Starbucks. The host? Dismissive to say the least. Had questions on unloading our bikes and where the trails where in town. We were handed a map and head toward the river.
Not much to it - the Chamber of Commerce has simply set up a stand with brochures inside Starbucks. Some flat screen TV's do show off some nice photos of the area and offer a schedule of events.
We thoroughly enjoyed the speakers we heard during the festival - learning about the sheep ranching culture was interesting for us, as we're from Nebraska where cattle and corn are raised!
The Ketchum/Sun Valley information centre in in the same building as the local Starbucks. Same entrance but go left for the centre. Not really that much more info than you will find at the front desk of most hotels/motels. Just a large rack of leaflets but the lady is very friendly and helpful.
Mike Chase, super guy, gives you all the time and info needed. And located right inside Starbucks, so you can sip and chat.
Located in the middle of town, local free bus stops here also. Good information and free wifi.nice building, Starbucks here also, although I prefer 'java on fourth' or 'the coffee grinder'( the local coffee shops) instead of a big chain.
