Weekday, reasonably quiet, plenty of parking but a narrow, windy road to get there although with some nice views along the way. Walk to falls viewing platform less than 10 minutes on level path. Alternative longer circle walk on defined track with one up hill bit regardless of whether go clockwise or anticlockwise (recommend) to bottom of falls which provides nice perspective, if reasonably fit do in under 30 minutes. Falls are not spectacular but attractive. Toilets on site. No fees. Across the road is nice cafe where can also buy seed for birds and have a great time feeding parrots and rosellas who will eat from your hand and land on head and arms. A worthwhile visit in what is beautiful countryside.
This was our second visit to this park with the very friendly and helpful owners Louise and Mark. The bird life is amazing and the walk to the falls is well marked and gives breath taking views of these lovely falls. There are a number of short trips to do in the area namely Carrs lookout, Browns falls and Daggs falls. It is lovely to be able to sit by a camp fire. If you just want to relax this is also the place to do that. We will definitely revisit.
Great location, excellent accommodation, VERY yum food, Great service from park owners. Our group of seven stayed 3 days, 2 nights and it was TOTALLY WONDERFUL.SERVICE could not be compared ... wow !!!!
a spectacular waterfall with a very scenic easy walk to the bottom of the falls.lots of wildlife to be seen. many other waterfalls and bush walking tracks in the same area
Loved the falls, breathtaking scenery and ther paths are easy to walk on. Great amenitites for travellers and picnickers
After a scenic but often white-knuckle drive from the Queensland side of the range, I all but kissed the ground on arrival at Queen Mary Falls. It was a Tuesday, so humans were vastly outnumbered by pushy King Parrots, Eastern Rosellas and Bower Birds hanging out at the cafe in hope of a dropped crust or an unguarded scone. Fortified by a delicious vege burger and cappuccino, I struck off on a walk around the falls. The signs were school teacher-ishly adamant: stick to the path and DO NOT STOP WALKING except to admire the falls from the walkway below. I was puzzled - until I hit the track. The views are so vertiginous one is in constantly in danger of losing one's bearings and toppling into the valley. Spectacular! Tip: take the path on the far left unless you're keen on some intensive stair work at the end of your circuit.
Loved the Queen Mary Falls. Had the option of a short walk to view from the top. But could also do the 2km walk, which we did. Loved it. There are other beautiful Falls in the area. And the Moss Garden was worth a look.
Great place to visit. What a beautiful drive in from Mt Alford end well worth the drive. Beautiful scenic views. Kids loved the walk from the top of the falls to the bottom and back up the other side. Easy walk for all and absolutely beautiful nature to look at.
We walked the whole circuit and for fit people it would be a breeze for us we found it tough in parts. We did however think it was worth the effort and would recommend it. A tip we were told afterwards is to do the walk clockwise then you go down the steps and not up.
Queen Mary Falls Caravan Park was a great place to stay. Right across the road from the falls. Wonderful hospitality from the owners and friendly staff
