We enjoyed the tremendous diversity of plants on display at this vast greenhouse complex. Popular spot on a bad weather day. Great tropical birds, nice to have places to sit and people watch, too.
Our family of 25 had a wonderful Easter buffet here. The food was excellent...best broaster chicken in the area. The dessert table made my sweet tooth hum! A wonderful place to share with family and friends. Besides the food being so fabulous, the children were able to enjoy the fun rides, petting zoo and the arcade whilst the adults shopped around the flower and gift shops. A fun way to spend a day.
....need to do a better job marketing their pizza...it's the best in this area....lower the price of pizza, and churn those pies out like the big boys...chicken is already the best....atmosphere is great...the family is excellent.....petting zoo is great for kids.... Good vegetable prices.....kids would go here daily if They could....
On the Family Day public holiday, we visited Colasanti's with our children. The arcade has been spruced up in the last year or two with many newer high tech game. My 12 yr old daughter's favorite was the Connect 4 game - helps that you can win lots of tickets on this one. My kids spent $10 each on tokens to play and we had a great time. They ended up with enough tickets for pretty decent prizes - and considering they only spent $10 each I was quite surprised. The "payout" wasn't too bad at all. Better than many other arcades we have spent time (and similar amounts of money) in. Because most of the games are the newer fancy machines, most games cost between 3-4 tokens each. I did wish they offered better token packages. We paid $20 for 80 tokens and there were no "deals" for buying more. e.g. $10 got you 40 tokens. With so many family friendly activities that appeal to all ages, Colasanti's s a great attraction. Mini golf, small zoo, kiddie rides, bumper boats...We only spent a couple of hours but had a great time.
This was a strange outing! We took our 4-year old there and first battled off aggressive goats, pushed away deer and looked at some depressed tropical birds. Then, unfortunately, walked past a bunch of rides that are ideally done via an all-day pass. We also went through a greenhouse retail section and a giftshop style section, too. What IS this place?! An arcade or a greenhouse? The 'petting zoo' needs to be rethought. The animals are pushy because they sell feed. The caged animals don't look happy. Not overly impressed...
It is more of a kiddie arcade/restaurant/petting zoo than a plant greenhouse. Lots to do with kids/grandkids. It is especially nice to go on a bleak winter day, when you are secretly longing for summer or a winter vacation in Belize.I found the restaurant a little expensive. There is a charge for the petting zoo. Some young kids were fearful of the miniature goats.
with all the rides mini golf petting zoo lots of things for the kids to do parents can go and wander through the greenhouses or have a meal there
Colasanti's is the sort of place a business adviser would never let you start. Fortunately they never had a business adviser. Start with a massive tropical greenhouse operation that must be kept sterile. Now invite the public to tour the entire operation. Then add animals for a small zoo and a petting zoo. Add a store and an excellent restaurant. All inside your greenhouses. Finally make the whole thing free with free parking. Really. This is a great place to buy tropicals at wholesale prices. The zoo is fun. Your kids will love it. The restaurant has the best Chicken outside of the American South. Fresh made pizza is as good as anywhere. And they have an old fashioned style fresh donut machine that makes donuts as fresh and good as 100 years ago. If you have kids you must go to Colasanti's. If you don't have kids take yourselves.
great family outing, animals, children's rides, arcade, good food with large eating area. This is one place we take our visitors and it's only about an hour to hour and half drive from home.
Best Fried Chicken ever. Always have Colasantis cater for our business meetings. Best. Chicken. Ever.
