First of all I wanted to mention, we booked a Movie Park weekend through their website. We stayed at a 4-star hotel, then visited the park for 2 days at 49 € in total per person. We absolutely loved every minute. We have a 4-year old girl, and she had the time of her life. We mainly stayed at Nickelodeon part of the park, almost every attraction was accessible for her. (1 or 2 where she had to be at least 1,20m). She had a cuddle with Dora, Diego, Spongebob and Patrick. Really had great fun.The second day we even decided to get a Fast Pass, as we got such a great deal on the hotel + park in the first place. We payed 25 € a person, and waiting time was next to nothing. I know it might not seem completely fair to people in line. But we figured it was worth our money not to stand in line all day with a 4-year old. And we really had an amazing weekend ! Will visit again !
I found it as new exciting city with enjoyable roller-coster, Im sure you will love it, it is new experience in a new place ...
Been to hundreds of theme parks and this one is probably one of the worst iv ever been to. All you see in concrete and even though the rides are themed quite well, for instance I liked the Bermuda Triangle ride, it all looks quite down hill and corny. It's basically a not so good substitute to the Universal parks, which largely exceed this park. Most of the rides are found in other parks and I was a little disappointed to find Bandit the roller coaster was closed due to it being too old. I know rides age but this makes you a little uneasy about riding the others. A lot of the park is aimed at young children too, so there isn't many thrill rides. I liked the rapids ride though and the Ice Age ride. They were really good.
Movie Park was in fact a Big Village Fair Experience. Too many people in such a small space. First you park your car 2km outside the Park area in the middle of the fields. Then you walk 10min before you actually reach the Park. When you finally get there you will have to wait for all Adults' Attractions at least 45min (if open !!!) - which means in two hours you can visit only one attraction!!! We could visit only one today - The Bandit - which was a real thrill. The XP too long waiting time and the Free Fall was simply closed. Second you should not be very picky about food. If you are hungry the only choice would be the Fast Food in all its splendour (any kind as well as ice cream) or a kind of self-service restaurant in a semi-dark ambience with two hot very fatty meals and some poor salad arrangements aside. All in all it was a huge disappointment.... Or maybe we expected too much... Instead of Great Movies we simply got Second Hand Series!
My 6year is still talking about her fabulous time there...4weeks & much other stuff later. The trains were down due to a recent storm and we took a bus to Movie Park....DUS Train/Bus Station could have been a better informed. Bus eventually landed us right at the gates and it was fun all the way thereafter. Return journey (bus) was a lot simpler and straightforward. I would recommend it to any family with children between 4 - 8years.
Movie Park Germany is a theme park with loads of attractions, but not all of them are special. The rides are average and are to be found in other parks as well. Also, the queues are way to long and there are always waiting times of around an hour. Only if you've paid €25 for speedy passes (which we did), you can really enjoy the park. The Movie Park-Parade wasn't great and the staff wasn't all that friendly. If you don't care about all that, you'll have a great visit.
Great place to visit, excellent value, plenty of rides and shows, clean and inviting. Plenty of parking nearby. We loved it. The cost to enter was no where near as expensive as Euro Disney. We felt this was better value for money and much more fun.
The park was nice, the attractions also nice. Especially the show- bad cops - or something, was really nice an enteraining. People did stunt with motorbkes, cars, explosions etcetera. A must-see. What I didn't like was the big lines and that sometimes it was not clear how long you had to wait. The wooden rollercoaster had a waitingtime of 90 minutes, but the sign in front said 60 minutes, and there was a lot of empty space after that. So we expected to wait like 30 minutes. And then it is really disappointing when you discover you have to wait one and half hour.
Like with all the other Warner Brother Movie Parks it is the same with the one in Germany. If you gonna visit it with kids or for the first time, you will have A LOT of fun and really enjoy your day. (as long as it is not over crowded!!!).You don't care about the high entry fee and the unreal prices for food and drinks (as long as you are not bringing your own)But if you gonna visit it for another time, you gonna get pretty fast bored. Then you see that the park is not that big or don't have this many fun bringing attractions (for adults, for kids it's different). Then you realize that the high entry fee is may not worth what you get. Then you see that the prices for food and drinks are in non proportion .Then you getting pissed because you have to wait up to one hour on a busy day for the fun bringing rides (eraser, wooden rollercoaster).I would recommend it for young families with little children. But for young adults it is just fun bringing for 2-3 hours (if it is nit full) and that is the fee not worth.Nice to see once, but thats it!
We are 4 people, myself, wife, 8 year old and 3 year old. This park is great for small kids, my boys had a blast. There is a Nick land with spongebob plus all the characters. There is plenty of rides/winning games for the grownups. I felt safe with my kids here and never presured to spend a fortune. If you are staying in a surrounding town there are plenty of good places to eat and local shopping areas. It was fun.
