it is a place just next to the Lake and one can spend some time here in the park. OVER ALL this park is good to relax after spending time at the Lake side.
Nice playground and beach area...good for digging and lake swimming when it's warm. The children's swimming area is enclosed by a boardwalk so you don't feel like they'd be swept out into the sound.
A pretty large park for just enjoying the outdoor activities like frisbee and the like, but best part is walking out on the walks over the marsh and lake. Lots of wildlife to see, a very peaceful setting. Visit during the week to avoid crowds, perfect at 9am on a weekday.
nice park by the bay. Easy walking but a little hard to find parking. Nice place to relax. A lot of familys there when i visited.
Great for the little ones to run around at. Beautiful location right on lake Washington with a a Spuds fish and chips place right across the street.
Great walk on a former road/bridge through the wetlands! I've seen swans in the winter months, red tail hawks, woodpeckers, eagles... very enjoyable.
My boyfriend and I moved out here two months ago. This is heaven on earth as he said it was. He is a former Army Ranger getting through his PTSD symptoms very well now that he is in Kirkland Washington. We moved from NJ and that place kept him on edge. We are an interracial couple and life here is good for us. People are so friendly then there are mountains lakes animals marine life ocean views fine dining adventure health and fitness music walking and hiking biking snowcaps just to name a small few things that I love. My Ranger wanted me to move out here 7 years ago if I knew what I know now I would in a heart beat. My boyfriend is so relaxed I am too. Life is awesome here. He is a smoke jumper now and we have a cozy apt in Kirkland. If you have an Army Ranger in your life and he wants you to come to WA get over yourself and just do it. You will be so happy you did. This place is quiet, too quiet for me. But if you want to enjoy lake Washington, read a book or enjoy the wildlife, this is the place!
My son loved running around the trails and bridges, looking for turtles and watching the birds. Such a nice quiet place. We also had our family pictures here last fall.
This park is pure nature. When I walk here I leave the stress of traffic behind. There are nice paths to stroll. It's not a huge park but it is lush with birds including red winged blackbirds and Eagles! When the sun is shining the many turtles shamelessly sunbathe on the logs. Shimmering dragonflies drift by and are mesmerizing.
